It's hard to believe it's been a decade. When I look back on games that I enjoyed playing I can remember what was going on in my life at that time and 09 had a lot of good memories!
Uncharted 2 was not only my first Uncharted game but PS3 game as well. I didn't get a PS3 in 06 but in 09after being burned by 3 RRD's I got a PS3 Slim(1st model) and was blown away by Among Theives. The opening scene is probably the best I've ever experienced and the adventu...
That opening scene is probably one of the best intros I've experienced playing a game! I still love playing Among Theives on the Nathan Drake Collection.
I'm in the same boat and really after seeing games like HZD, GOW, Spider-Man, Metro Exodus and hell even AC Odyssey and Origins I was wondering why everyone was praising Red Dead 2's graphics because to me they look blurry as shit and I'm still pissed about the HDR! HDR to me is more important than 4K. HDR when done right like in Shadow of the Colossus, GOW, HZD, Metro Exodus, Spider-Man etc really adds to the game and it would've done wonders for RD2's world!

I was pissed the HDR was handled so poorly and now this!
I get the apprehension that comes with the topic of a company buying up a second or third party dev, I do. And depending on whose doing the buying, it may not be good. Look at EA as an example because they've bought up a shit ton of devs throughout the last two decades and killed most of them or they are a shell of their former selves.
But when it comes to Sony I have no reservations because of how they allow so much creative freedom to developers and the kind of games the...
You're so right and I absolutely love photo mode! I pull up the map and look at the pics from my adventures and I can remember what was happening when I took the photo. Like you said there's just so much to do and see. AC is probably my favorite semi annual third party series.
Love what I'm hearing and reading about Dying Light 2! Some truly innovative things Techland is incorporating into DL2. I enjoyed the first game and just started The Following DLC and to say I'm excited for the sequel is an understatement!
I've put 112 in Origins and Ive completed the main story as well as The Hidden Ones but just started Curse of the Pharaohs. I played it throughout 2017 and took a break last year and started on Odyssey. I've put 100 in Odyssey and I'm playing it as we speak. If I get burned out I take a break but sits always fun jumping back in!
That's true but I wish they would've implemented HDR. Thankful they are with this remaster along with the other additions.
The original wouldn't translate well today but like Yi-Long mentioned Ubisoft may reboot it next gen with the newer mechanics.
I agree and 4 was my first SE game and boy did I enjoy it!
Seems unlikely but I think it would be great!
So simple and the results really speak for themselves!
I love getting lost in the game worlds. I still play Witcher 3, HZD, AC Origins, Breath of the Wild, AC Odyssey, MGSV, Just Cause 3&4, GOW, The Forest, Red Dead 2, Spider-Man, Nier Automada. Those are the bigger games and I still love playing them. Some have a better narrative but they are all so much fun in their own rights. The best part is there is no expiration date and I can always go back to them and I do.
Persona 5, Detroit, No Noh Kuni, Dragon Quest XI, Tales of...
I see your point and it's really spot on but Days Gone isn't an example I'd use. The very recent reports have been very positive and shows most of that flack was unwarranted because it appears to be top tier.
I think it disproves her point that as long as you have publishers who have reasonable expectations and allow devs to be creative you can make magic.
Congrats to all the hardworking folks at Bens Studio. I believe this game is going to lead to great things for you guys! I've had it preordered since last fall.
Why did they do that because I really like this one.
Control looks really interesting to me. I loved Alan Wake and this looks like it could be really good!
That's what blows my mind! Six years and this is what they have. Look at other games that had similar timeframes like Witcher 3, GOW, HZD just to name a few. It boggles my mother no!
That's awesome and yeah it's so cool how this medium when done right can replicate the same emotions or experiences in gamers.
