Would love something along the lines of Chaos Theory but built for current consoles. Large open ended maps maybe like Hitman where you basically can complete objectives as you see fit and for Christ sake Michael Ironside has to voice Fisher!
Only Splinter Cell not to be on PlayStation was Double Agent I believe.
Can't speak for anyone else but seeing some on here continually pop up in every article to say how bad they hate something they'll never play isn't something intelligent people would do. Seems like they just want to get a rise outta someone!
Now coming to say you like something you've played well that's completely normal. I don't go read articles about games I don't give a shit about.
Good read and my sentiments exactly.
@ChiefJohn yes it is but that's not my argument! It also was released physically and digitally. What I'm saying is THAT SP GAMES THE QUALITY OF THE ONES I MENTIONED WOULD NOT BE CREATED WITH SERVICES AS THE MODEL!
Metro Exodus is designed just like 2033 and Last Light in that they are SP games. Games built for services swing more towards Fortnite, Overwatch, Apex Legends, SOT, Crackdown 3, Anthem etc and not like Witcher 3, GOW, Spider-Man, HZD, Days Gone etc.
That's my issue. Not that some people legitimately don't like it but the rabble rousers who haven't played it and have no intention of playing it yet here they are in every article before release and after.
Like it's just sad to me to see people downvote people, not because they said something inflammatory or false but that they found joy in it. Just sad.
Hope your renovations went well!
Also I prefer is when passion, artistic freedom and the yearning to share a vision are the motivators of creating something not greed or bean counting goobs! Be it film, television, music, novels and last but definitely not least games!
DEEHULK88 I'm not dictating anything! Just stating the obvious! Show me the type of quality SP games created with this model in mind. I'll wait!
What happened to the mobile market(that's where this model started)will happen here. Also a lot of people that are used to services , F2P or even full priced multiplayer games spend quite a bit on microtransactions and in the end wind up spending more than $60. It will also devalue the market. Neither are good!

Dude a load of great games came out this year!
Also Days Gone!
😂 I was about to say the same thing!
I've seen that raised a few times on here. The main concern for many like you stated is the funding of new AAA titles heck even AA titles.
I just don't see games the type and quality of say Witcher 3, Spider-Man, GOW, Days Gone, HZD, DS, Detroit, Metro Exodus, RE2, RE7 and so on being created with this type of model.
For one they don't fit that type of structure. The ones that are focusing on this hardly release AAA SP games. Just not s futur...
Really great analysis and my sentiments exactly! Also I love the connection aspect of working with others players for the greater good. Really interesting game.
Except for that pesky lag, especially with 4K HDR! Saw someone say "most gamers don't care about lag" I've heard it all now. I imagine COD, Doom or any of the other FPS players would like a word. In fact during a CONTROLLED environment at Google GI said there was lag with Doom Eternal.
Also I personally have quite a few friends who game and guess how many say "holy shit have you heard about Stadia?!?!" "I can't wait till it hits!" N...
Jesus just when he think I've seen all the pretentiousness and outright stupidity some in our society spew, something like this comes along to remind me there's so much more lunacy to come.
Can't speak for CaptainHenry but for me it's s good review because it detailed and conveys why they enjoyed DS. The scores just the icing!
Good SP games especially the ones that are narrative and character driven will always resonate. We as a species love story telling. Been doing it for thousands of years. Hell there's story's done in picture form in caves for gods sake. It's why we enjoy great movies, tv shows and even music. All because of good storytelling.
Another plus is as it pertains to SP games is that as long as you have the hardware and software you can play them 20 years from now. Game...
Yes games like DS and Days Gone aren't games you want to rush through to hit a deadline or to be the first to try to get clicks. There's so much you miss by just bulldozing through.
DS is better when you just take your time and as Jericho would say "drink it in man!"
Yeah the "only the Kojima fans like DS" go to is tiring. I'm not a Kojima mark by any stretch of the imagination but I enjoyed MGS, didn't play part 2, loved 3&4 and I enjoyed 5 but still haven't completed it.
That said I'm enjoying DS. The main reason it got my interest was because of the failed collaboration on Silent Hills and being a Norman Reedus fan because of the Boondock Saints and how intriguing the teaser was, DS got on my radar.

Got a feeling they'll pull a Beyond Good and Evil 2. Which is just sad!
