I haven't been disappointed with any game Ive purchased this year, hell I haven't been disappointed in a purchase since Alpha Protocol in like 09 or 10.
RE2, Metro Exodus, Days Gone, Death Stranding (still playing through it) and I'm sure there's more I played so far this year but I've had an incredible time! Guess I along with many are easily amused.
It is incredible and regardless of the snubbing and for the most part manufactured hate(a lot of the early negative reviewers actually went back and re-evaluated their take on the game) it still was a success and will more than likely get a sequel with a much bigger budget!
Very true and I remember when Live went well live but this is such a bigger undertaking. For me I personally have nothing against streaming. My issue is the narrative that's spun by some in the media and some of these big companies acting like this is the only future and that's not the case at all.
I just think they are jumping the gun because there will be a lot and I mean a lot of people throughout the US and around the world where streaming just won't be poss...
It is long and there is a lot of filler but I go back to it every now and again. Play for a few weeks then play something else. I finished Origins and it's DLC and enjoyed it. I've also enjoyed Odyssey.
I like what Ubi is doing with series and I'm actually excited for the next one!
I have had Persona 5 since release but just haven't gotten around to playing it. My backlog is pretty big but my plan is to play through a good chunk in the early years of the PS5 since there won't be too many big releases.
I also enjoyed Mafia 3's story but there was a lot of filler and repetition but again loved the story, characters and the music!
Good luck trying to play games in 4K HDR! This is gonna open a lot of folks eyes as to just how not ready the infrastructure is.
This gave me pause as well. Really disappointed and I'm not too hung up on the First Person
View but really in a game you can optimize your character how you see fit it'd be cool to actually see it.
A horror game created by Kojima would be incredible! PT was just a small small taste and I can only imagine what he'd come up with now that he's free creatively. Image s horror game running in the Decima engine.
This is how you do it! This is how you do it! Anyways great deal and what a sic looking Pro! Tempted to get this one and give my Pro to my kids and save their PS4 to trade in towards PS5.
No idea where this is headed but I'm more than ready to go on this dark journey! Ellie's lived what could be considered a normal life in this dangerous world for six years but now something obviously happens to send her on a revenge tour. Is Joel killed when the attack happens? Is Ellie's love interest killed? Whatever the case may be I'm here for it!
GI had a good piece on it this month. Love the look of the world(I'm a sucker for the Pacific Northwest)...
I'd like to see them cut back on the crazy shit. Not just straight up realism but just not so out there. Maybe we'll get something none of us are thinking about.
Cool this is the one I'm going with.
Yeah I'm playing I think now and I'm working through chapter 3. Incredible game and if the rest of the game is as good or better than it's been it'll be at the top!
This is simple, there are plenty of both. Games that are too long for your taste just don't play.
Like I don't care for platformers much anymore but I don't want them to stop making them. Open world games tend to be lengthier but if done right they are my favorite. HZD, Wild Hunt, RD2, AC Origins/Odyssey, MGSV, Days Gone and now DS have been some of my favorite games this gen and all are pretty lengthy games. Still haven't finished RD2 but I will. I play it ...
I haven't played it since the 90's but it left an impact and id love a modern day version!
Yeah it's my least favorite Zelda for sure but it had its moments. I'd like to see more diverse enemies and more alive world or just go back to the Ocarina, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess world designs.
For me my favorite open world games this gen have been in no particular order.
HZD
Witcher 3
Days Gone
AC Origins/Odyssey
Breath of the Wild/MGSV
Hopefully this is the premium version (the one I'm getting) and it'd be cool if the standard version was $399.
I really like her character and how she was written. It was hard not to like her because she's intelligent, very perceptive and an absolute badass. I can't wait to see her story continue!
That'd be freaking awesome! I remember around 02 or 03 when Prime, Fusion and Zero Misson(remake of the NES game) and it was an awesome time to be a Metroid fan! A remake of Super Metroid would be very welcome!
I played Fusion and Zero Misson on my GBA Player that fit under the GameCube. I loved that little accessory because I never liked small screens so playing all the Super Mario Bros on my big screen was awesome at the time!
