That was funny as hell and perfectly represents Microsoft double-talk. Bubble up!
Let me clarify my original statement.
"The first week sales of Xbox One in Japan are worse than first week software sales in Japan."
To put things in perspective, The Last Of Us Remastered sold about 33,000 in it's first week and the PS4 sold 322,000 in 2 days of being on sale in Japan. My statement was meant to compare sales of software and hardware in Japan during the first week of release. Yes you are right in one respect, but in Japan, it...
I agree with the article. Part of enjoying any game is exploring it, not seeing how fast you can complete it. Why buy the game if you're going to bypass missions, cutscenes, and other content just see how fast you can get to the end? I've never understood why someone would purposely bypass major elements of a game and them proclaim that it's short.
I can understand skipping repetitive "side missions," I do that myself. If someone tells you that a game's main ...
That's less than the sales of software...
Well, maybe there's a market somewhere that will convince people to buy the Xbox One to watch television on a television?
They'll blame slow sales on snow flakes, blizzards, and frigid temperatures before they admit they need to provide more support for the gaming side of the console instead of focusing on apps. They just don't get it. No one buys a "video game system" to watch television shows and movies for 2 to 6 hours a day. I don't even think Microsoft fans can admit that to themselves.
I don't know why people keep saying that Destiny costs 500 million, it didn't. Activision is investing 50 million per year over ten years to create a franchise. It would be accurate to say that Destiny costs 50 million to make, but the only way to get clicks and site visits is to make outrageous claims.
Uncharted will still sell more copies.
This question again? Rise Of Tomb Raider is a timed exclusive on a console with an unconfirmed install base of around 5 million and Tomb Raider isn't a system seller. The Uncharted series is Exclusive to PlayStation, which has a confirmed install base of 10 million and the Uncharted series commonly known as a system seller. Now which game do YOU, the author, think will end up selling consoles?
An obvious outpouring of butthurt Xbox crybabies who don't want Destiny to be bigger than Halo. Judging by the pre-order numbers, Destiny is on pace to be much more than Halo ever was.
You and me both.
So Destiny has been available for a few hours now and this is PlayStation Network's current status:

I'd say PSN is doing just fine at 6am EST. I'll check back in at Noon EST.
Butthurt and weak sauce is a dangerous combination.
I'm using these Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7B SVis Noise Cancelling Headphones. Has a detachable cable and blocks 90% of outside noise. I'm going to try these next; Sony MDR-ZX750BN. They're bluetooth and noise cancelling. Not really sure if these will pair with the PS4, but Sony makes some incredible audio gear, gotta give it a shot.

I'm pretty sure Sony is reporting the number of consoles that receive the system updates. How else would they know that the PS4 has "Sold Through" 10 million units? And there is absolutely no doubt that Microsoft also knows how many Xbox Ones are receiving system updates. Their silence and lack of new sales data speaks more than the actual words themselves.
^^^^This^^^^ is exactly what's wrong with the Xbox division right now. Ra3030, that was well said. Instead of Microsoft dealing with the problems that the Xbox One has by acquiring more first party developer support and creating new IP's, they play it safe and rehash the same ideas and games that are 5, 10, 15 years old. And now, instead of focusing their attention on the area that is obviously the Xbox One's weakness, (GAMES) they are trying once again to push the Xbox One as an ...
The chances of Destiny failing are slim to none. The beta session gave players a glimpse of the finished product and was obviously a success since the PS4 version of Destiny is number one on Amazon's best sellers list. I wouldn't be surprised if Destiny winds up being one of the most pre-ordered games in history.
I doubt if the Xbox One actually has sold through 5 million. If they did have a verifiable attach rate of more than 5 million they'd be shouting it from the rooftops. Xbox is headed in the same direction as Sega when the PS1 first entered gaming.
The Last Of Us Remastered will be still going strong at least until mid-October if I had to guess. Diablo III is a good game, didn't realize it was that good.
The COD lovers don't know what to do now that the average person who doesn't play shooters can enter the game, level up, and spit shine their faces with a shotgun. LOL. Every time I watch a live stream and see it happen it makes me laugh. That's the main reason that this game is getting so much hate and spite, anyone can be good at it, even if you don't like FPS.
