A lot to think about in your post, thanks. I have come across a couple of YouTube reviews. YouTube personalities have a very strong influence, even if they don't review a game in the traditional sense, their opinions are taken as you would of a reviewer. I don't have a problem with being paid to do advertising, but then the lines should be clear, advertising and not critique.
The Destiny problems just keep on stacking up :(
It just seems that the even though the sites in question (Polygon/Kotaku) changed their policies, they remain under the same judgment
Say what you will, Microsoft deserves credit for how they are shaping the XB1 into a fantastic console. They listen to feedback and implement changes.
I did, what's your take on his view?
Exactly! I don't get why different standards should apply to YouTubers. Does disclose getting paid equal unbiased?
Why is it a huge expectation? I always thought critics owed it to readers to stay away from shady deals.
In what context did she say that? Hell, sometimes I don't want to be labeled as a gamer. Did you watch the video? The way she talks about Mirror's Edge as her "favorite game"?
Coming from her pov I can understand why she says she doesn't enjoy (most) games
Exactly
Really blown away by this. I love it when the medium of video games is used to portray real life struggles. I hope we see more games like Endless Nightmare
Her focus is not men, it's how women are portrayed.
+10 scored for the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air clip :)
Excellent video. Good to hear her state how the more serious threats etc are under investigation. Good to see her expose some of those conspiracies. I've heard so many people say he voice shouldn't count because she isn't a gamer...she clearly plays games.
Really enjoyed reading this perspective. Perhaps the server won't empty after all :) Maybe the time for hard core endgame raiding is past ;)
Can you name one WoW endgame raid which was beaten by half of the required players? Can you name any endgame raid from any MMORPG's?
Again I disagree, as an MMORPG player I can tell you it's not suppose to be this easy. Ask any vanilla WoW player just how hard endgame raiding is suppose to be. You are only suppose to beat raids when your gear, team combination and starts are perfect.
I strongly disagree with your statement. Devs need to present proper endgame content, they have to challenge players, especially in an MMO type game. That's why we play it for years on end. It's not that hard, balance gear stats with raid difficulty. Wow, Rift, etc have shown how it's done.
They used the Sun Singer’s Resurrection
What are you smoking bro? There will never be an end to the console war ;)
Finally a game that matched its hype
And it just keeps on getting better
