Games will be made on HD-DVD Disc. Even if HD-DVD were to flop the games will still be on HD-DVD in the new Xbox. That's my little theory...lol (don't take this serious people)

It won't hurt your pocket. You still get 5 free movies and also you have a great player. You also get the Paramount and Universal exclusives so if your a movie lover, I recommend it.

THIS reminds me of FF10 for the PS2. Mind blowing!!!! This game looks to destroy anything that comes out for any system. The CG is mind blowing, the in game is also the truth of what the game is like. Man i just wet my pants..lol

Blu-Ray and HD-DVD both support the same audio and video codecs. It all depends on the movie studio. Also many blu-ray releases just have regular dolby digital compare to HD-DVD which all releases must have at least Dolby Digital Plus to be a standard. Also many blu-ray releases from Sony/Colombia/and Disney still use MPEG-2. While many of HD-DVD releases from Universal, WB, and Paramount use VC1, and AVC MPEG-4. :) just some clarification Don't believe me? go to highdefdegits.com

If you would know by now, CHINA choose HD-DVD as thier goverment standard. For good reason to, secondly if toshiba is not going to support HD-DVD no more then why did they release a new Player called the A30?? please stop being fanboyish and make good and valid statements :)

This is a steal for sure. My surround sound does not support TrueHD so i dont care. My t.v is only up to 1080i. Its perfect for me :) and if these prices are to stay true forever, then HD-DVD is going to sell and stay. No matter what this is a great deal. Supporter of the format or not. I also read a site that said these player cost 160 to make so Toshiba isn't to stupid (if i knew the website I would of post it). Either way this is great

Why, cuz it has a way smaller install base but yet still sells dics. Second peter Jackson supports HD-DVD. Secondly I like the menu's and special features that most HD-DVD's offer and third is because I love how you can watch a movie from anywhere (no region code) And for every one on this site who says they support blu-ray or HD-dvd and does NOT buy MOVIES for that format, then please dont say you support anything..lol cuz you are just lieing to your selves. you buy what your parents want to...

BLU-RAY has added thier giving away free movies as part as sold discs. meaning that all those giveaway movies including the pirate give away that they throw out before Transformaers was released is being part of the discs sold. Meaning they really didnt sell those discs. they where give aways. Also Transformers on HD-DVD did do something. it proved to movie studios that HD-DVD format can acutally sell movies. Toshiba also gives away free movies but they do not add them on thier disc sold list...

1080p is so useless when your t.v is smaller then 62". Man you have no clue what you are talking about. Second these players support true HD sound (which no one will use since I doubt people got a 1,000 dollars reciever in there houses). unlike your PS3 and blu ray players. also one thing, you still get 5 free HD=dvd's trough toshiba. This is a mega Bargin and you fanboys need to stop your crap. I'm getting one as soon as this hits my wal-mart. ALSO TRANSFORMERS ON HD is awsome!!! perio...

re releasing cartoon movies on High def is a waste, everyone knows that. you will not see a difference. I got lion king on dvd and put it in my dvd player on a toshiba 62" t.v and its stupid clear, i think on high def it won't change at all, and all disney movies come in regular dolby so it wont matter.

Sony bribed Disney with a offer just like HD=DVD with Paramount, along with liongate films. Man dude get your facts straight, Disney was one of the original backers of HD-DVD while it was being made, then jumped ship for no reason, and when in a interview someone asked disney ceo if they had a similar deal as paramount, they said no comment. but every other movie studios said no who was backing blu-ray. lol that tells you something. and blu ray is just as bad to be offering free movies too. a...

With out PS3, Blu Ray is Nothing. what if Sony can't aford to keep PS3 alive past 4 years. Blu-Ray would die along with it..lol (joking) But serious, HD-DVD ain't going no where and I bought Transformers in Hd today. It was awsome.

They barely had any shelf space for Hd-dvd movies when i use to go to my kissimmee, FL best buy. They had mostly blu-ray every where. Now they are even and it makes me proud to see that.

Blu-Ray and HD-DVD will co-exist. The gap between the 2 is not super huge. and also I own Transformers for Hd-dvd, bought it today. and you got to be stupid to wait 2 years for it to come to blu-ray, and that's if it even does at that. My opinion, if you dont have either format. Dont make a opinion on which format will win, cuz its obvious you won't make a difference. I know I will since I buy Hd movies. In the end I will enjoy both formats. I prefer Hd-dvd for the somple fact of the online f...

I have both Shenmue I and II. Those games are still one of my favorites of all time. The story fell into place so well. It never really went crazy or corny. Those games where awsome. Microsoft gave money to Sega to keep Shenmue only on Xbox, so if any sequals are to land it will be on 360. I do wish part 3 comes soon if they ever decide to finish the saga. Its truely one of the best.
