Didnt someone post the same thing like a week and a half ago?? my gosh. Get better news
eproductwars show only rates. not actual percentages of how many discs sold.(dvdempire does) try again
Sorry, but here comes Shriek 3... Those numbers will flip in a heart beat dudes. lol At least when Transformers was out Blu-Ray had to give out that buy one get 2 free stuff to counter it.. Also Sony CEO already admitting defeat.
Look, Sony has lost billions on the blu-ray technology and more on the PS3 and more making thier own plants (CELL CHIPS) in which they had to sell to Toshiba. In the end he knows if Sony keeps this up, it will hurt them as a big giant money bag going empty. They are not Microsoft that have billions and billions. He knows what everyone does not, so he is probably saying in a nice way, people start buying HD-DVD. We cant keep up with Blu-Ray how its going.
I knew something was up, Sony is losing way to much on this format war. They should have agreed with Toshiba when they had the chance to stick with HD-DVD and not make a format war happen. All because Sony once again tries to take over and fails. Just like Rome. Long Live the PS3 and forget the format war. Lets just play beyond people. Let HD-DVD be the format of movies.
360 Price point is fine. They are still selling well. But a price cut would be nice for everyone.
Dam that stinks. I was hoping a Feb release for the U.S. Wow talk about WAITBEYOND again. :( Guess no PS3 for me again. There probablly going to make a 360 release like 2 months later, that is what the delay can be.? Just speculation
Those where selling out also, not every where but in alot of places they where.
I am a xbox fan (not Fanboy) but if this game was released like tomorrow and sony jacked up the price of the PS3 to $700 and said to me, "bow down" then I would just for this game..lol well a little over the top but this game will be the game to make me buy a PS3 (besides a FF7 remake).
@ 9.1 Transformers will not be out on Blu-Ray next year. lol and @9.3 Sony lost alot load of money for selling the PS3 at a loss. So does that make Sony bad??? And Everyone on this green earth knows that Disney was one of the originators of HD-DVD supporters. They some how jumped ship, (maybe Sony gave them cash as well) Sony loses money for doing there own free movie promotion since most the movies are from Sony studios. Also 3 games you named on your list are from like launch..lol No one ca...
At the end of the day the PS3 is a gaming console first. No matter what they do there are still ZERO games that interest anyone which is why now they are trying to push it as a bluray player to try and increase sales.
Sony is having really hard times right now as the sales for the PS3 still haven't even met the sales figures they themselves announced for last year. Sales for HD DVD players and the publicity HD DVD players are getting is really making the whole bluray camp nervo...
They feel that people are buying PS3 for blu-Ray?? They are so wrong. People buy PS3 for games. Not Blu-Ray. (Why don't sony just market the PS3 as a Blu-Ray player) Think of Blu-Ray as a extra bonus, and consumers are obviously not taking advantage of it when Blu-Ray has only a 2 to 1 lead which will be cut down soon during the holidays. AND PEOPLE WHO BUY INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS FOR EITHER FORMAT ARE DOING SO JUST FOR MOVIES. Now with all These HD-DVD players flying off of shelves, Sony is very ...
Universal, Paramount, and Warner are promoting HD-DVD with free movies. Toshiba is not losing money from that. On Blu-Ray side, Sony is promoting it's self with Sony film's (thier free offer). if anyone is losing money, Sony is still Champion on that.. lol
It was already said that a HD-DVD player cost around 160 dollars to produce. On the Blu-Ray side, thier players still cost over 300 dollars to produce. That is why they can't lower thier individual player prices yet, because they are losing lots of money from the PS3. In the end, every company takes losses on hardware. But they do make it up from other sources. If I had the link i would post it, i'll find it tho.
dude i was at circuit city today with my girlfriend and her parents, they got a hd-dvd player, also some other guy did also. why?? cuz of price. If some one really wants a high def player, they will buy a player, not a PS3. Guys say that HD-dvd is desperate but yet Dell is selling PS3 in canada, Wow a computer company selling a video game system, now thats funny..lol
My girlfriends father just bought a HD-DVD player today. Why because of price. He wanted a blu-ray player but once he notice they do the same, he quickly got a hd-dvd player, also another customer bought a player, but a different model since they ran out of the A3. In this case consumers want a cheaper buy and just want players for movies, the regular consumer is way larger then video game fans. that 2 to 1 lead will be over soon
Why would DELL!!!!!! sell a ps3???? is this a act of desperation that a computer company has to do this??? by the way, my girlfriends fater just bought a hd-dvd player over blu-ray, why cuz of price. Price is the factor, not technology. and another guy bought a player too at the store. the average consumer is way larger then gamers. always remember that.
Time will tell if this will sell well.
I remember Sony saying that all 60 gig versions should of been sold out by July of this year when they dropped the price. It's only been 4 months later..lol and still yet to do so.
Ads like those only last for about a week and a half. No longer then that. The commercials look hot. Anyhow it wont make much of a difference.
