I want 3D to be as comfortable as 2D. No glasses and no additional eye strain. Do that and Im sold.
Though the same thing after watchin the trailer.
I would not use the term Awesome, but these look allright.
Agreed. In 2005-2006 when everyone laughed at ps2's dated graphics, some legendary games launched like Okami, MGS3, SotC, GOW2 (not to mention other great titles - Bully, Black, FFXII, Persona3, KH2...).
I think there is much of great gaming ahead of us this generation.
@ Rush
To your question "what did Sony real bring to the table this generation?"
I would say unmatched (quantity/quality) first party software. Thats what matters to me the most. Games. (I know your question was probably more technology/innovation oriented)
Auger. On of the best guns in history of gaming.
I agree, it looks too complicated, how many people would be able to do this (if it is true)? I mean the charm of jailbreaking the ps3 was in easy of use USB dongle right?
First Mercenaries was also not utterly ridiculous :)
I miss san andreas... you could escape the crowded claustrophobic feeling of a city, hop on a motorbike and just ride the road...
You get a lot of disc swapping on the 360 and lot of installing on the ps3.
Im with you there. When Heavy Rain came out I avoided all articles, videos, screens, reviews of it. Tough job considering the internet was all over that game. Worth it nevertheless.
I remember Okami had very interesting loadings. For example, when you tapped X you made a footprint on screen, and when you made enough of them you got a reward. And I remember it being a useful reward. Some blue teeth or something.
Well no miracles can be done on this gen consoles. I remember the time when I saw first screenshots for oblivion and I said to myself "damn my ps2 is old". I have yet to see a game to make me feel the same about my ps3.
To be honest, I would not have the time for these remakes. Ive beaten X and XII, awesome RPGs, but I would not dare to go through it again :)
I want more games like this. So relaxing, so atmospheric. This game is a reminder that games can me so much more than shooting, violence and gore.
Awesome, nice to see people who worked on previous games to be on the team.
After seeing that last video... I dont know if I should call myself a hardcore gamer anymore :)
I dont mind licenses or graphics, because the gameplay is great. What I cannot understand is this. How hard/expensive is it to hire a couple of professionals to do good commentary? I mean good accurate commentary. It doesnt have to be stellar, just good would be more than enough,
Next Quantic Dreams, Sucker Punch and Insomniac Games and competition can throw in the towel.
I liked the sixaxis controls in mirrors edge.
