Also, the word THREE (sixty) is important. Its a marketing preemptive move against competition. "Xbox 2" doesnt sound equal or better to "Playstation 3". Your average (uninformed) customer would see only that 3>2. But a "360"? That is very clever branding.
The precursos legacy was the best. It was fresh, beautiful, funny and had this vibe that Jak II and III kinda lost with its futuristic setting.
And dont forget about Daxters solo game!
Damn, I forgot about the first game. This looks great, I need to check out the first one!
He said it feels even better with a controller, but a move/wiimote support sounds great.
NO. I disagree. It would be the greatest console if every model was backward compatible. This is just cheap cash in.
I hope the emulation at least does some tricks like HD resolution and AA, because PS2 games look like crap on HDTV.
How hard is it for a gaming site to implement a functional picture viewer? I dont want to refresh the whole page for another (low res) picture. What is it 2003?
At least those are Skyrim screens, so its forgiven. For now.
Last time they took their time to learn PS3s architecture and released an overall better Oblivion. My point is they worked hard and the results show for it. So I dont think you should worry about the PS3 version, or any other version.
I feel some negativity in this preview. I find nothing wrong with the MGS3 controls scheme. Id called it many names but awkward would not be one of them. I have yet to play Peace Walker, but I can imagine it plays in a similar fashion (at least with a controler). Oh and its MGS2: Sons of Liberty.
Looking good.
P.S.: Please make at least a cheat that enables fireworks.
Well, Bioware is very talented studio, The old republic is almost done, so is the Mass Effect 3. Give it a 1-2 years of development and it could be nice finisher of this generation.
EDIT: Oh its the force unleashed studio... *sigh*
This is why I prefer Sony. They put their faith in something different and unique. Im a sucker for games like this. I mean the market is oversaturated with shooting, blood and gore and while games like Dead Space or Gears or Battlefield are great, sometimes I want something more than just shoot monsters.
Well, Mass Effect 2 on PS3 was a year late port running on a newer engine, so that is not a good example.
But in general with simultaneous releases the default gamma and contrast settings result in brighter image on PS3. I dont know why, but everytime I watch comparisons on lense of truth or digital foundry, native shots from ps3 are always brighter. Sometimes more sometimes less.
Fanboys always scream "meh the ps3 is washed out" when it can be easily corrected on t...
I wish they put a bit more effort in making those comparison shots. I mean its not that hard to find a recognisible spot to stay on and aim at the same target in the distance.
Also, the 360 looks brighter than the PS3. Usually its the other way around, right?
Ha Ha!!
I second that with RDR. I have played it a LOT and the only bug I cam across was a horse stuck in the ground. And that happened just once. Lucky I guess :)
Agree, but so far SSX (and Tomb Raider) seems to be an exception. All the hands on previews were highly positive.
Ive played this on my android. Its kinda addictive, but the frustration killed it for me.
Exactly my toughts, of course it looks like ps3 game, when the ps3 one looks like a Wii game.
It makes no sense. Name the 3rd product with number 4? I would bet on something totaly different, without a number.
Also Id say the next playstation will not be called PS4, although it makes much more sense. I heard the number 4 is considered bad luck in Japan.
