If reviewers start giving out even a few 10s, then they will give out more 10s to games that were better than the ones that they gave 10s to, and then give 10s to even better games than that, so then the games that originally got 10s didnt really deserve it.
Only the best of the best of the best games should be awarded with perfect scores. Only Oblivion, Gears of War and Super Mario Galaxy have been worthy of a 10 rating this generation imo.
Im getting this game for Christmas on the PS3 and Im glad that someone has finally a good word to say about it. Games that offer unique gameplay experiences are usually that ones that I most enjoy. Glad I decided to get it now.
w00t, now playable on PS3 :)
Goichi Sudas next game is actually for the PS3 lol
Its called Kurayami, which means 'Darkness' in Japanese.
Gears was just as awesome to play as it was the see in action. In fact, UT3 looks better than Gears, and is more fun to play as well. Some games have been a victim of graphics first like Heavenly Sword, but then again Uncharted is the best looking console game on the market and is a hugely enjoyable game.
Why dont people think that this game will sell in western terriories. Im pretty sure that Onimusha sold well over here, which this game kinda resembles. Its also like Shenmue, which was more popular over here than it was in Japan. They need to bring this game out over here by the end of next year; it looks awesome!!
What is wrong with the writer of this article? Firstly he refers to MGS4s subtitle as 'Rise of the Patriots' and he also refers to the game as the PS3s first killer app. Well, in case u havent noticed, the PS3 already has killer apps (Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank). In fact, IGN called Resistance: Fall of Man the PS3s first killer app in its review!
/slaps head
The game is just announced and people are already arguing over platforms. Just enjoy the fact that the game is coming, and just for the record it will either be PC only or PC, 360 & PS3.
...now that the PS3 is outselling your precious Xbox. It must be especially worrying for you considering that the PS3s game lineup is infinitely better than the 360s.
Maybe its time to convert from a fanboy to a gamer before its get too embarrasing for you.
Cant wait for this. I picked up Yakuza without knowing too much about it, and I was hooked on it until I clocked it. However, Yakuza 2 is only just on its way to the US next year, so I have a feeling that we will be waiting a long time for this game.
DMC4 lost its buzz since it was announced for the 360. Thats not a fanboy comment or anything, but the game had alot of hype when it was a PS3 exclusive. It will sell, but will probably fall short of expectations.
Splinter Cell has never really been anything special since the original installment, but the solid fanbase will ensure that Conviction wont be a flop.
Haze has developed a substantial following over the past few months, probably because its a PS3 exclus...
Uncharted is getting awesome reviews left, right and center (wait for Gamespot to spoil it all) which is awesome cause the PS3 now has 2 AAA titles (the other being Ratchet & Clank).
Its pretty impressive for a console to offer 2 AAA titles in its debut year. The Wii has done it with Zelda: Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy but the 360 only has Gears on its debut year (Im being completely objective btw).
There are way more interesting features in this article than the '360 is the lead platform' comment. Stuff like this just causes flaimbait.
I dont see how they are gunna sell 11 million consoles by March 2008, especially considering that the MGS4 wont be coming out before then (it was dalyed after they said this though). I just wonder when LBP is coming out, because that is sure to sell systems is its really as good as people say it is.
This article obviously doesnt take into account holiday sales, so there will be much more consoles sold by the end of 07 (I would say about 6.5-7 million) which would stand the PS3 ...
This is the same release date as Haze in Europe, so I guess they will be going head to head with each other.
The titles that are supposed to be getting "squeezed" just happen to be my next 3 games.
but good luck in actually convincing two big Hollywood actors to star in a video-game adaption, no matter how much it resembles a movie.
Wasnt Gears of War the only AAA title in the first year of Xbox 360 sales?? This shows that the PS3 is right on track with the 360, and with the likes of LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2 and MGS4 coming our way, it looks set to revel in the success next year that the 360 has done this year, if not even more.
Its good to see that all next-gen formats get to experience the truly awesome game that Bioshock is. Wonder if there will be any extra content in the PS3 version though??
Considering the amount of money that has been spent on this game over the past 10 years or so, its no suprise that they want to release it on multiple platforms in order to make more money from it.
