Nice to see that the PS3 is equal to the 360 in its product life-cycle sales wise, dispite the criticism it has recieved and not being released in Europe until March. It stands the console in good stead for what is potentially a fantastic 2008.
This is probably as close as another game has come to the Shenmue series, and it hasnt even been confirmed for release over here. Cmon Sega, loads of people want this game!
Im not saying that the 360 wont be sucessful in 08, but I dont think that it is strong enough to keep up with the Wii and PS3. The Wii has games like Brawl and Mario Kart coming out, along with all the 'casual' games that will keep it afloat. The PS3 has a bucketload of top titles coming out, such as LittleBigPlanet, MGS4, GT5, Killzone 2, Tekken 6, White Knight Story just to name a few, as well as the Home service. The 360 does have some quality titles coming, such as Fable 2 and Too Human, ...
time to make a JPN PSN account I guess. I cant wait to play this game.
1.) Rockstar said that their exclusive PS3 franchise would be a new ip, not an existing one.
2.) Red Ded Revolver 2 is already being developed for the PS3 under the working title of 'Rockstar Old West PS3 project'.
I dont even think that the Wii has reached 17.7 million sales (which is currently in the lead btw). Still, Im sure that Halo 3 helped its sales significantly.
It would be understandable if they had released all the content they could over the past month or so, but no Pain, High Velocity Bowling, Shivering Isles and Resi Evil 2 are available on other regions stores, so theres no excuse.
I try not to be critical of store updates, but this one is just lazy.
...they would need to start offering content on a more consistant basis. They really should be giving us a few new PS One games every week (like they do in Japan). This would also be useful for games that offer alot of DLC (Motorstorm for example).
...I dont think that anyone actually believed this rumour. People should know by now that u need a PS3 to experience MGS4 and MGO.
Well, at least it sounds as if the EU version of UT3 for PS3 will be a more complete version straight out of the box.
I dont see the point of releasing UT3 on the 360; Im sure that 360 owners would rather have Gears 2.
At least Haze wasnt delayed again. Im really looking forward to that one.
There seems to be alot of rumours of Bioware games coming to PS3, just because they are now owned by EA. I wish that they would base their findings on something abit more solid.
Free Radical have an awesome sense of humour. Its a shame that more game devs were like them.
It was confirmed at E3 that MGS4 would be exclusive to the PS3. This didnt come from a random source; this game from Hideo Kojima, the games creator.
End of story.
The argument always seems to be about money here; well not all developers are driven by money. People argue that the 360 has a bigger install base, which is the truth, but the PS3 has done just as well as the 360 in its first year of sales (if not better), so its just a question of the fact that the 360 has been available a year longer. People also argue that the 360 has a bigger attatch rate, but again the 360 has been available a year longer; therefore more games available, of which there w...
To my mind Kane & Lynch should be awarded with the most underrated game of 2007. There are some fantastic gameplay elements that have been completely overlooked by many.
The most disappointing game is surely Lair. I mean, this was a game that was supposed to be an AAA title, but in the end it sucked.
Why should Halo 3 be 360 GOTY? Just because its a Halo doesnt mean it has the god-given right to be GOTY. Since CoD4 was released, people have effectively forgotten about Halo 3 anyway.
More like 'A' reason. That statement demeans all of the other top titles that are coming to and are already out on the PS3.
Why would people bother to import the game anyway? It came out like 2 days after the US release on PSN, so to import a game just for the headset (it is cheaper to buy the PSN version and a headset separately anyway) is rediculous. Maybe it shows that some people arent ready to let go of disc-based products just yet.
Why should anyone care about the slightest difference in graphical performance? Ok, if the framerate or anything else that could affect the gameplay differed then fair enough, but 1.) the article starts out as biased and carries on all the way through and 2.) theyre sad for even taking the trouble to make the comparison.
