This article pretty much sums up my experience with Dark Souls. Souls hoarding is definitively the way to go. I beat the Gaping Dragon on my 3rd attempt and it was pretty easy once his pattern was figured out.
A game like Dark Souls is a gem and shouldn't be overlooked by serious gamers.
Well said buddy. Change is scary and uncomfortable but you have to adapt and overcome. Look at the story of the games. The COG are forever being compromised and they don't whine about it, they adapt and overcome.
I want this game to do so well because IMO it's the best shooter by far. It takes more strategy and technical prowess than a FPS and is more fun. I do love a "good" FPS but Gears has been the King of my 360 since inception. I love the fact the campi...
Spotting is another under used skill that could save your life. People get so greedy for kills that they quickly forget that Gears is 100% team based. Why people play Gears 3 like 1 and 2 is beyond me, they are completely different from each other and should be approached as such.
Anybody that runs up on me is going to die. Point blank. Rifles will kill all of the rushing B.S. but people still want to rush in for a shotgun kill and complain when they are the prey instead of t...
I got it from Gamefly(for the 360)last week and have no plans of sending it back. Since I didn't play Demon Souls this wasn't even on my radar but I'm glad I threw it into the Game Q because it completely exceeded my expectations. I didn't think there was a game that could pull me off of Gear 3 so quick but this one succeeded. Now all I need is some Skyrim and I'm good til next year.
I love the Gnasher. Sometimes I win versus a Sawed-Off because I'm quicker on the trigger, but mostly I lose against it or sometimes we end up killing each other. My point is, I've gotten use to the fact that the Sawed-Off allows new players to enjoy the game and it has made me develop new defenses and tactics to avoid being on the business end of either weapon.
I try to teach my nephew not to run into a firefight Gnasher 1st, but his style of play dictates his decisi...
Getting my season pass 2morrow...can wait to play this DLC!!
Wow...I'm a little shocked Epic choose to do that just because of whining ass noobs who can defend themselves against the sawed-off. Phuck it...just as long as they don't "tweak" anything else, I'm good. I like the sawed-off but love the Gnasher even more.
Lol. I know right. As soon as you come through that door it's over. After the 20th try tho, I beat his ass without taking one hit. That was sheer luck because I didn't take any hits from the two dogs either.
@BiggCmanb
The Bell Gargoyles were two easy. I didn't get hit while fighting them either. I did summon that Knight on the far end of the bridge with the red dragon on it to help me and they wee so busy with him that I just stood back and launched mad ...
The first Resident Evil on Gamecube made me jump of the couch. Condemned was pretty good too. It's safe to say that games are better at being scary that movies. The last movie to make me jump up outta my seat was The Thing...I bet the remake will suck but I'm willing to give it a shot because the original film is a classic.
The Summoning is broken, I tried for about an hour to no avail just a summoning failure message, and yea I did everything correctly. I finally gave up and decided to fight the Capra Demon by myself. Not only did I whip his ass, it was Street Fighter perfect style. Between this and Gears 3, who needs MW3 or Battlefield.
Never played Demon's Souls but I was aware of the mayhem and madness yet sad that it was a PS3 exclusive. Long story short, I got Dark Souls Wednesday afternoon and fell in love. This game is phenomenal, and addictive on so many levels;words can began to describe love/hate relationship I have for this game. My wife walked in the room and saw me get torn apart by the Capra Demon and couldn't walk away. She even helped me revise my strategy and execution...gotta love that.
@ BattleAxe
You forgot the Gears franchise aka King of The Third person perspective. (Cole Train voice) Disagrees Incoming!!
Ive been farming souls off of the dragon since day one...works like a charm but mad tedious and boring after a few minutes. It's still very well worth it though:)
Gears has 3 solid titles...Halo, not so much. I could care less about any kind of fest a game has. Instead of talking crap, deliver a great game like Epic just did.
I'm convinced Silicon Knights sucks at making games...1st Too Human and now this...just give it up. You can't blame Epic and the Unreal Engine for this crapware!!!
Devil's Third all day
Spotting is essential. I wish other people would learn to use this awesome new tactic.
Everyone who disagreed must be blind... Gears 3 definitely looks better than UC 2 and 3. Anyone who actually played the beta can attest to that. Hell is gong on at the web site...UC is not the pinnacle of graphics...slightly above average at best, just like the gameplay.
1st day for me!!!
The Depths is a really good farming spot for Humanity and souls provided that you have a somewhat strong resistance to curses. I played around in there for a day or and left with about 30 pieces of Humanity and over 30 thousand souls.
Blighttown is a very unforgiving place and you will need a ton of moss to stop the toxins and poisons.
This article is dead on and even if you follow the tips to the letter you will still die...a lot. Lol!!!
