I agree with your words but it highly depends on how much it hinders the experience, the network test was very smooth for me if the final game is anything like it I would be happy, but Elden Ring have a lot of hate going right now, I don't like to make comparisons but people was saying that Horizon having crashes bugs and characters popping in and out was alright
Yeah it's annoying but what's worse is Voice actors awards, imagine providing your voice for hours upon hours of contents and then be like you lose because your character isn't fanservice-ish enough

The open world was heavily flawed but not for these reasons, the settlements were fortified, the game doesn't start a battle music, it just have a danger sound effect but the track would continue after it, the biggest problem was how much the side quests were detached from the rest of the game, the stories in them were weak don't add much to the plot or develop the characters which is a overkill in a game that it's biggest strength was the main cast's dynamic

For someone who have time on his hands, I am all in for a game that is as long or short as it needs to be, don't stretch it or shrink it, would play BOTW for hundreds of hours yet can't stand 30 hours of a Assassin's Creed game
