To be fair, taking characters on face value based on what their occupation was is never a good thing, a character is good when they are interesting and push the story forward, but I do understand that a lot of people care more about the front image rather than deep characterization

The Wii U failed because of Nintendo doing the worst marketing anyone have ever done, not even their exclusives could save that, still in terms of games the Wii U had a great library, the same games that people beg for them to come to Switch, any other console would have flourished with these games, but the Wii U was beyond redemption, especially since hate is gamers' favorite thing to do

Yes because you really care about the canon in this remake

The only point that's beyond me is that every protagonist need to be a saint or a perfect role model, sometimes a game needs a character that pushes the story forward, whether they become villian or not, whatever makes for a better story should be considered, the thing is everyone wants to be preached and lectured about how good they need to be, do people seriously wait for video games and other sort of media to tell them what kind of a human being they need to be

People be like "we don't need E3 anymore", why? "because the big 3 companies and their games are not there"... So you want E3 but as big as before, just wait one wait without E3 and everyone will cry for it again, I don't understand why anyone would say no to a event with a lot of games!

Beside the fact that the most anticipated game is not the most anticipated in it's own show?
It is surprising Forza Horizon 5 even won because I know that it looked fantastic visually, yet beside that was it really that good, in comparison to other games that everyone are dying to play including the journalists who voted, maybe I live under a rock and didn't realize those journalists are huge racing fans, but I think in the first year of every new console generation, graphica...

I feel like I always don't agree with both sides when it comes to this topic, or how good the reviewer is, it's just a way for gamers to act like the review isn't valid, I agree that a game needs to be finished before the reviewer writes his review, yet first you need to accept that the deadline system is messed up because of the whole structure of gaming media, also we need to understand that reviews are opinions so if a game was boring enough that the reviewer didn't feel at...

The game itself is not long, but the runs are too long, in other rougelite you would finish a run in half an hour or a bit more while it takes 3 hours to do one in Returnal, that's actually what people are complaining about, but IGN argues about the length of the game as a whole is a problem to generate clicks!

This is a upgraded version of the original NieR Replicant released in 2010, it's not a full on remake to do the visuals all over again, also it's made in collaboration with Toylogic!

this doesn't change the point Josef Fares is making, you are saying that people are not finishing games because new games come out right, then why think of replayability when your biggest task is how to make people stick to your game or come back to it later on!

This may be true for some people, but one of the reasons why games stay in the backlog for so many people is because they don't come back to them, if they were good enough to pull you and keep you going they...

He is one hundred percent right and if you see all that he said it makes sense, people are not finishing games to begin with, replayability is a much smaller issue, like he mentioned The Witcher 3 is one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time and only 30% finished it, now how many of those 30% actually replayed it?

Josef Fares mentioned how his game is highly replayable even tho they didn't design it to be like this, a game that is so much fun and doesn'...

I would say they are just using the whole metric, if you read the review, out of 10, it doesn't sound like 3 is high enough, I think the gaming community is just so used to the metric being used from 6 to 10

@RauLeCreuset I am not disagreeing with you on the fact that the haters want people to believe that the game is more hated than loved, which is wrong, it's obvious the game is far more loved than hated!
