This tells you all you need to know about the video game industry when Elden Ring is out next to The Division
The problem is not that a spin off gone souls, the problem that they didn't do it well from what I played in the demos, add to that the universal fact that the writing is horrible, spin off trying something new is great but it needs to do it well
This subject have been talked about so much and I 100% agree with the statements regarding Ubi's awful approach at Open Worlds, yesterday Yahtzee from the escapist made quite the interesting take about why games like Elden Ring and Breath Of The Wild allow to explore this much, and that's confidence to have you miss out on stuff without hurting the quality of the game, I really advise watching that Extra Punctuation episode
Wearing masks in Japan during flu season is part of their cuptures, masks are often given free on the streets in front of busy places
Margit The Fell Omen is actually the first major boss, you have to fight him before Godrick so I am not sure why they are saying that
Title: "fewer than half have actually beaten the first major boss"
Article: "63% of players have beaten the first major boss"
Math is not someone's strong suit apparently!
But 63% is a huge number in comparison to old games for a game like that
Oh yes because people standing in a place where you are driving over 150 KPH must be high poly
I disagree, yes we can have actual games on mobile now but since everyone can launch anything you get a extremely messy market where there's hundreds of actually copy pasted games, it's like steam but without any restrictions
Saying that it doesn't compare to Elden Ring and you want a quality like it is all okay, it's all based on the language used, it's not wrong to think that you want to play Elden Ring instead of this disaster, but a professional must be diplomatic, I am not a professional and yet I can think of hundreds of ways to voice all amount of disguist while not saying that I want to play a specific other game
It's not about offending you can give the same meaning with better wording, being a journalist requires you to be diplomatic, to mind your language and behavior, younknkw a regular person saying it or a YouTuber it's normal but professional jobs have a sort of unwritten rules
I don't mind praising Elden Ring or comparing it, I love Elden Ring and just like every great game it's natural to mention it and compare, but in a professional review that's as far as it should go, my problem is with the phrasing
We all saw it coming and no one is surprised, but that line "I wish I was playing Elden Ring" is unprofessional for a journalist, it's natural to feel that way but saying you wish you could play a game by another studio instead is not polite
@Neonridr didn't say they don't happen, but they are rare
Happy to see a game by from Software get sales like this, and it's quite unbelievable we have gone a long way from Shuhei Yoshida calling Demon Souls a very bad game to creating a sub-genre to this
Yes it is, and this number is too big for a non-Nintendo game
That's a big launch for a game like this in japan
On this round of the monthly Switch Pro leaks
Even tho it can be annoying when stuff like that take place of actually useful in game messages, in reddit and social media Elden Ring fans have the funniest random insults
Who would have thought that gaming's icon is it's most popular Character
Do yourself a favor and play the nonary games
