Even if such crunch is okay, a good company should have better planning to simply avoid it, manage your resources properly, even re-use some assets here and there, and a lot of things that can be done to avoid crunch, also communicate with your people!

Good for you if you have the money and patience to do that, but you know, the point of trailers and marketing is to help sell us the product, so I can only judge what I am seeing, if judging a game, by the trailers to decide whether I would buy it or not, is bad then I will have to buy every single game ever made to really see if the games are good or not because who knows!
