COD4 should have been on that list, it's opening was really memorable and cool.
Is there a way to make the pics bigger? Everything looks good when the pic is only 6 inches.
I really hope the game is this sharp! It looks like a PC game, the colour and shading is perfect it looks twice as good as Gears 2.
IMO Best MP of 2010 definitely, the SP still sucks...but who cares really when the MP is that good.
I got mine for $40, paying for online still tastes like a chugging a glass of vinegar. I wouldn't mind so much if 5 of my 6 real world friends didn't abandon 360 to go over PS3. Unfortunately, unlike me they don't see the benefit of having both consoles.
I got PS3's Black-Ooops b/c their all on PSN. Next year i'm just getting the better version irrespective of real world friends.
Already happened re: 2009.
I hope next gen or even this gen Sony starts bundling a least a cheap version of a headset, although I don't see many more headset users on Live than PSN but I do hear a lot of peoples background noise on PSN.
Um weight has never been a problem for me with bluetooth head sets...
My biggest problem is that they amplify background noise way too much so I have to turn my game volume down a lot.
I paid a lot for my surround sound, I want to hear the excellence!
The devs created the hype by showing graphics in the original trailer and saying it would be an open world game.
They were selling 4 gig 360s for $130 just after christmas and Alan Wake for $20 in Canada. If I didn't have one already I would have after a deal like that - it's almost the price of a PS2! but with more memory.
For me, at first Alan Wake was really cool but by the end I was happy it was over, the gameplay and the environment became very stale for me.
I kinda agree, however the DS3 isn't that bad it just that the 360 controller is so much better. After playing on my 360, when I switch to my PS3 the controller feels so much worse. The only this the DS3 does better is the d-pad because 360's is useless for SSF2.
The PS3 design is 15 years old, Sony should redesign it to capitalize on the advancements in ergonomic designs - controllers are supposed to change just look at the NES uncomfortable rectangle.
Objectively sure, but the 'better' console really is one's the subjective opinion.
If your favourite games in the world were Halo and Gears then 360 would be the 'better console'.
I have both and think PS3 is way better in almost every way except for its antiquated controller (my DS3 is feels much worse than my 360 pad IMO), but if someone with both says they like 360 better I can't argue with them, it's their opinion.
The guy who made this article isn't thinking clearly. Making a PS2.5 would have been idiotic.
Sony's biggest mistakes were not anticipating the huge growth in online gaming - PSN sucked at first (now it's pretty much on par with live). And not using a more developer friendly architecture. It's hard to say the thing was worth $100 more than 360 when the games looked worse, now we all know PS3 is more powerful than 360 but there's still not one third part...
If VG can be relied on, it looks like Kinect really did help 360 console sales in America - game sales seem unchanged.
They pretty much did before Oops
I'm actually surprised they lasted this long.
Nice circular reasoning.
Because 360 flopped in Japan.
Gaming's New Year's Resolutions should be higher resolutions - 720p should be the minimum like 30 FPS is.
I hate blurry games.
Looks like the best MP FPS game will be even better on PC.
I'm still getting it for my 360 or PS3 because I don't have a computer that runs games well.
