The author's arguments and reasons are ridiculously bad, ignorant and foolish.
Why wouldn't you just get a PS3 then, if all of 360s best games are on it - the fact is without a PS3 your missing out on some of the best games this year.
I have both, but if you switched, knock 60 bucks off the PS3 price for money saved from not buying Live.
@ManGastaS...so you must be a Wii gamer
Didn't Sony receive a lot of flak for saying the same thing when PS3 launched?
I'm not that excited about the Gears series anymore, the gameplay has been done better by so many games now. I can normally go back an play a games SP 4-5 times over but every time I think about playing Gears 2, I think the shooting gameplay is pretty boring.
Aside from the originally broken MP, I think Vanquish and Uncharted killed Gears gameplay for me - even Uncharted ads a dynamic vertical and jumping around, sneak, upclose combat element to it - it's just more e...
If you call abuse being having to listen to idiots natter endlessly in an excessively emotional manner than yes.
It's already annoying having to mute half the people with mikes - for some reason some people feel they have to constantly talk about nothing on Live.
I don't mind trash talk but think about it, people with these things would never stop pressing the buttons like ADD kids.
I prefer receiving insulting messages instead...se...
They would lose over 8 million PS3 copies next year - never happen.
Fire the guy who said that - he threatened your customers.
The article is spot on, unlike traditional news where the subjects of news are not also the newspaper's/site's ad sponsors, game journalism constantly reeks of bias in terms of amount of coverage for a game and to a lesser extent, reviews.
The saying, 'a rose would still be a rose by a different name' does not apply to game journalism or reviews.
GOTY awards always go to a game with a decent story...not saying that a game wins because of the story just that a story seems necessary.
Sounds horrible, Live doesn't need anymore annoying people with mikes.
I don't see how that is better than a mouse, at best, if it worked perfectly, it would be close to a mouse. But I could get way more precise movements with a subtle move of wrist than my extended arm, it's that simple.
Again, even if it works, it's just a novelty but at least there may be hope for core games!
That's great for Sony and all and it would be cool to have cross platform play but I don't care about Portal, played the first thought it was alright but wouldn't pay for another game. Bring me HL3 or at least the final episode for HL2, I can't believe HL is skipping a generation.
Halo 1 on Xbox was amazing at the time, certainly the best FPS on consoles, then 2 and 3 got progressively worse with Halo 3 being a 7/10 IMO but Reach was amazing (although the graphics are weak).
Thank EA and the fact that 360 gamers didn't buy that many copies considering the caliber of game, they bought more Fable 3 than ME2 surprisingly.
So a 9 that comes out in December is better than a 9 that comes out in January?
Even if it took an hour and a half, what's the issue
I always instal my 360 games onto the HD for faster loading and to prolong the life of the DVD player and it takes longer than any PS3 install (MGS4 excluded).
I wish all PS3 games had at least an option for an install.
And for the people complaining a 500 GB HD for PS3 costs 50 bucks.
I rather Wii 2
That's actually the perfect length for a game for me. Short enough to make me want to replay it and long enough to make me feel like I got my moneys worth.

But you would hire an expert safe cracker to make safes.
