A silent system is not always a good sign,definitely not by default nothing to worry about.
It's still a pretty small box that has to cool all components,why would silence indicate it's cool?
That maybe applies for liquid cooled systems,definitely not always a good sign for fan based systems.

The Vita has one advantage of it being a mobile device,especially if you have a long history with PS+ there's tons of games you could play.That being said the system has been deserted by most triple a companies though.

Looking at the bigger picture they don't really care about 1 group of dedicated gamers (neither does Sony or Nintendo when it comes down to sales)Microsoft bet really big on Minecraft,that alone took funding away from other projects,or at least more reason to cancel other projects that didn't cost that much.
200k (as someone mentioned) in advertisement is nothing compared to what a game costs.
The same thing applies here as it does with Battlefront 2,do not buy the expansion content and you'll end up getting more content from the beginning.(games as a service is not going to serve YOU)
