Why do you think PS Now went to PC?there will be no PS3 BC,that's the whole reason why they bought GAKAI,to have a platform in a potential new market. (Also making BC for CBE architecture not depending on hardware but a service).

That's what you get when you dedicate all your resources to squeeze the hardware.
Commercially it makes sense for a company that has an interest in the hardware AND software.
There's very little chance that will happen on PC equivalent hardware with all the overhead software.
