Yeah, for $30 (digital copy), I think it's worth it. I've been playing since yesterday and there is far more to do than a 10 minute speed run on the main mission.
All the console war BS aside, I actually like the game. I don't agree with the bad reviews. Is it a short game? Yes. Is it too short for a half-priced game? No, not in my opinion.
If this game was being sold for $60, then yes, it would be a total ripoff. It's a $30 game that, in my opinion, is definitely worth it.
Give it a shot if you can. No I won't send you $30 if you don't like it ;)
Difference is shockingly huge... said it before and I'll say it again. I did not expect that.
Side note: Can someone tell me if the game is steady at 60fps on PS4? I have been playing it on PS4 and haven't noticed any frame rate issues/drops. Just want to see if that is indeed the case.
I disagree. What if one is materially better than the other? With expensive hardware like this, I want the best possible experience, regardless of platform. The best of both worlds would be the ability to choose your VR headset and be able to use it with any supported game on any platform.
Bad enough we have this console war BS. Let's not hop on the VR headset war train too. I've had enough of it. One day, we'll get back to games and experiences... one day...
Law of averages.
Haha I was like you for a while. Now reading his posts are kind of amusing.
I've learned not to take anything or anyone on this site seriously.
I bought it for $30. Should be $20. Still a really cool game with great gameplay and graphics. Not a full-length game but, given that it's half the cost of a full-length game, I can deal.
Hmm, interesting. I checked out the video you posted. I see what you mean in terms of that puddle layer. Having said that, I think the game looks closer to the 2012 footage than it does the 2013 footage on the left. Just my opinion.
Let me know what you think when you play it live.
I've been playing it today. I have seen the speed run video. Yes, if you just kinda stay to the right, you can run through this game very quickly. That said, there is a ton of space to explore.
Oh, and the game looks fantastic. You'll find yourself looking around once in a while. Very cool. This will keep me busy until Friday.
I've been having a look while I play it. Don't judge by footage you see online, especially YouTube videos.
I think the "puddle layer" that you refer to is in the game and looks fantastic. Not sure if we're thinking about the same thing or not but, in my meaningless opinion, I don't think it looks worse than the reveal.
Ha, this is ridiculous.
I played on PS4 earlier today and this YouTube video does no justice to how good the game looks.
OK, your comment convinced me to do a slow, good karma play-through first.
As FunAndGun said above, my second play-through will be as messy as possible.
Haha, I was going to comment about that this morning. I had some "too soon" comment in mind. Decided to just let it go.
I was just making a little joke. Relax.
This is a video game website, try to take yourself a little less seriously here.
Ha, I killed three people within the first 2 mins of the game... I'll try being sneaky later.
I went home and played a little during lunch. Graphics on the PS4 exceed my expectations.
I can't comment on the length of the game because I'm only 5 minutes in... which means I'm 50% of the way through the game? NFW.
He was interested in leaving an opinion. Don't be a douchebag.
I agree with everything you said above. Regardless whether it comes to my console of choice, playstation, it's still COD with mechs and last gen visuals in my opinion.
It's not "bad" for PS4. I'm a PS guy and I'm pretty indifferent to this. I don't like COD that much and don't care what the preferred platform is for this series.
I'm fairly certain you'll get most, if not all, of those. Certainly the first 4 that you listed.
