Also the music in each area, especially the night music, is amazing.

I love how there's both a story part and then exploration to unlock each chapter. It encourages exploring this HUGE world and to me, that's just...I love it. The story is great too and if people actually played through the entire thing they would realize the depth of the game. It's too complicated? There's a manual and the tutorials are fine. The game looks amazing, plays amazing...honestly ...

I reviewed the game and was literally glued to my Wii U during thanksgiving (the embargo was Nov. 30th). I went pretty in-depth with it and there is so much there. Some people may complain it's too complicated and what not, but really the manual is right there and tells you everything you need to know, so it's not that hard!

Agreed. I know it came out kind of late but for review purposes I had the game a month before it came out, before a show like TGA, not to mention all of the GOTY awards that come out every year and I feel it should have won at least something.

I really cannot wait until the beta for Gears 4.

Xenoblade X was the best game that I played this past year and I really do wish it got the recognition it deserved.

it will eat your life apart. lol.

I found Xenoblade X to be the best game I played this year. Of course it's the kind of game where you need to put a good amount of effort into it, but I never had to grind or anything like that. It was a ton of fun actually. I'm hoping there's a sequel!

I just think that starting from a fresh slate, leading from SS into the new game, is the best way to go. Even if it is an alternate timeline, and just stick to it going forward. I'm just so tired of this timeline nonsense.

I saw the amazing spider-man 2 today at the story for almost full price. I was beside myself, lol.

I think it would be interesting to scrap the whole three-timeline thing. Personally it's incredibly contrived and they could do better.

I'd like to see a real action/RPG quasi-like game tbh. We've had so many entries in the main series and I'd like to see some real action Pokemon!

I would hope for at least backwards compatibility, although, I do think nintendo should continue to innovate, as they always have. The GamePad was great when used correctly (not often), but, let's see what nintendo has in store for us next?

I love what they say about couples. It's really awesome how games can bring people together like that!

Very cool looking game and a really interesting interview. I like how the developers go back to the concept of the console's place being in the living room and enjoying games as a social phenomenon. Also interesting they've observed it works really well with couples, haha.

very thought provoking! I always thought Uncharted was like Indiana Jones reimagined, but, never thought that way of Tomb Raider. I still haven't gotten through Rise of the Tomb Raider, but I'm finding a lot combat in its predecessor; I actually enjoy the exploration and puzzles so much more in the game though.

I'm like you in the sense that I'm not crazy for all these free-to-play games, but I very well may check this one out.

looks pretty cool!

I find this story interesting but the lack of sales on SE's part has nothing to do with consoles. Actually at the end of the last console cycle I believe the PS3 had a huge surge with regards to hardware sales and they were still coming out with amazing content. If anything, I think that the over saturation this console cycle with remakes has hurt the industry a lot more than it's helped. You buy a console at launch, but really it's not until a few years later until there are real...

I love visual novels, but they don't always translate to the West. I personally love the Zero Escape games, because they are not just about the story itself and the various paths you can take, but the puzzle solving element. Some of those puzzles are incredibly tricky!

I do wish they brought more visual novels over to the West though. I was so happy when Steins;Gate came over.

XIII definitely had its issues, but I personally liked it a lot. XIII-2 rectified a lot of its issues in terms of linearity and I did like LR a lot. I'm actually really looking forward to playing them again ASAP.
