You will need a US PSN account, PSN downloaded content IS region locked.
This is at least how PS3 and Vita work, so I see no reason why you cant just make a US account, and use that to download the game.

I was noticing the floaty physics as well... It looks like the cars are floating above the road, as opposed to driving on a surface.
Although I thought the graphics looked great, it was not very good watching it on youtube, as it showed alot of artifacts(youtubes fault). Hope the game doesn't ship looking like the cars are not actually driving on the surface of the road.
I wonder if this will be the norm on both consoles from now on.

Key difference, that 400$ over an 8 year time, when hardware NOW, if you spent 800$, would be SERIOUSLY obsolete in 8 years.
So 400$ now, on pretty much current hardware, is a small price to pay for not having to shell out 250$ a year just to keep up with the games.
People will buy their console for exclusives. But if people don't play exclusives, they should know what console has the weakest showing.

This is about the PS4 not having full capability until launch day, so reviewers are told by sony "it is illegal to review an unfinished product as finish, post your review and risk being sued for damages".
