I can think of two advantages right off the bat :P
I'm just not into watching streamers, don't understand it, I'd rather play a game. I went out into the real world and found a wife so I can enjoy the pleasure of the opposite sex, rather than try and vie for the attention of some attention starved woman on a stream.
Guess I'm old school, but watching streamers gets old and quick for me. Even if they are physically attractive. I get a kick outta people who get off on it. Go out and get the real thing, LOL. I see people drooling all over female streamers, reality check: They just want your attention because 9 times out of ten they're trying to gain a following so they can monetize their hobby (no problem with that) but I feel that many of them are attention seekers and thrive on being the center of...
They shoulda waited. I bought a slim over the models for half the price of a pro. I would have bought the pro, but the leap in overall perks is not worth twice the price to me..

Ok, I gotta say this. I have been a member on this site for 8 years, it's always been a pro-Sony community. I have accepted that. I also have had all three Xboxes and Every Nintendo system since NES, and even most of the Sega systems (minus The Master System and Dreamcast).
Before you jump the gun, I have owned (and LOVED) every Sony Console (usually at launch) PS1, 2, 3, 4, PSP and Vita.
But the amount of outright hatred I see for everything NON-Sony...

Nothing new, game-wise here. Just the titles we're already aware of.
Oh well, personally wasn't going to pay over $70 (with tax) for this anyways.
It's basically an Xbox One controller (without pressure sensitive triggers, I might add) that costs more.
If I want one down the line, I'll wait til they start hitting the secondary market on places like eBay, CL or Amazon for much cheaper.
I picked up a digital copy over the holidays for half price. I just started playing it on Sunday and couldn't stop playing. I haven't even touched anything outside of the campaign, but it's definitely the best Gears yet.
Judgement left me totally uninterested in Gears, but when the opportunity came up to get this game for half off, I picked it up

Hopefully Nintendo "Switches" up their online format before launch. I really want to get online on Switch, but if Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 are the only reasons to do so, I'll pass.

I don't think you quite understand what we mean. The increased value of the game will come years from now, and since more people willl purchase the switch version of the game (like the wii version of twilight princess vs the gamecube version) it will make the Wii U version scarce, possibly increasing the value..

What? So it's basically a new battle mode, a few new drivers and karts and some cosmetic garbage?
I'm an OG Mario-karter, so I'll still be picking it up, but a full-priced re-make with nominal upgrades is a hard pill to swallow.. But Mario Kart 8 Portable? Damn, that's sweet.
Still not sure why so many people put so much faith in this game. It was wayyyy too ambitous of a premise by a developer that had previously only made "Joe Danger" games..
