Not bad. This new box art appears very streamline compared to the current one. I still liked the other one, as the PS3 logo on the side was a nice homage to the classic PS one box art.

"In a recent online article he said that Sony has stubbornly refused to drop the price down to reasonable levels, or even to match the 360 price. I can't see why they wouldn't do this. "

as will I
Basically all the highly rumored stuff plus the bells and whistles.
I'm sorry but, does this really count as a prediction?/ just saying
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for these rumors to come true and all, but I was hoping for some more "off-the-wall" type of predictions that nobody has really mentioned.
Oh, sure. This has to be what the PS3 slim looks like...Even if the image was from a few weeks earlier!!/sarcasm

Oh, and well written article, and an actual blog at that.
We definitely need more of these around here. There used to be so many of these when I first came here(back in 2008).
I can easily relate to this article. There was a time when I was, in fact, a lapse gamer. College was becoming time consuming, and there was not much games, at the time, worth getting into. It was not until the Nintendo Wii that I finally got that sense of gaming back, and of course, this led to me purchasing a PS3 as well.
There are time when gaming takes a back seat in our lives, but the point is that it usually something we always get around to again as gamers. That's what I ...
hmmm...
*checks date*
that's funny; it doesn't say 2006 on my calender...
not bad.
This generation gets more interesting by the month.
I think Sony is doing the right thing in not advertising less. Until the system is more affordable, They should let the brand name take care of the sales in the mean time.
Besides, do you think it would make that much of a difference advertising a $400.00 console when the competitors are much cheaper. Sure, the hardcore gamers would buy it, but the same can't always be said for anyone else.
Bungie has my regards. Halo is the only franchise that has proven me wrong about first-person shooters.
haven't I seen that somewhere before...

lol, I know the PS3 is said to have around a "70% cost reduction", but come on...
As expected from Blu-ray.
That's actually a good point you bring up there. Since the PS2 is heading towards that 10 year mark in a little over a year, of course many of the owners are gonna jump on board into this generation; be it the Xbox 360, or any of the other consoles available.
However, a user install bases aren't the deciding factor in this industry; it is the great library of games that a console has.
interesting.
Its not too surprising, considering how many features the Xbox 360, as well as, the other consoles of this generation have.
lmao, you've got to be kidding.
Isn't that what PC's are for?
Your space is...evil?
...Why?
man....
That PS3 boxart is so much cooler than ours.
It appears that the box art is probably fake

The features tab at the top does sorta get a facelift though.
