I think I really overhyped Sony's conference for myself. I was expecting White knight, Twisted Metal, and a price cut. I still think they rocked with exclusives, but I admit I set the bar really high and was really waiting for the PS3 price cut!!!

I was simply saying how ignorant it is to look at a rating and actually think that it's made for that intended audience. It's like saying M rated games aren't still aimed at the same demographic as T games...THEY ARE!!!

You're right!!! Kojima won't be working on this 360 metal gear because he will be putting all of his time into actual work...on the PS3 with the probable games he has coming out. I'm really excited for his keynote speech. Doesn't it happen right after or during Sony's conference?

Yeah somebody definitely went through this post and hit disagree on as many as possible. This is really sad, not only because they are ruining people's efforts at talking amongst themselves about a great game, but also because they apparantly either have NO life whatsoever or are only 12 years old and think it is cool to rebel.

Huh? I'm pretty sure the only reason Prototype is rated M is because of mindless gore. Story usually isn't taken into account for games these days in terms of rating. Sure, if there's rape and swearing in the story it will get an M rating, but that just brings it back to wholesale violence. After personally playing infamous, I can tell you that the story is amazing. Although it has a T rating (which I still don't understand why it's an issue) it still has a lot of very grown up consequen...
So what's you're point? Are you saying that Gears is a better game than MGS4? I'm not going to get into it one way or the other, I was just wondering if you ALWAYS base game appeal on sales numbers?

It's really a shame that horror games don't sell as well as they used to. I think it is one of the more underrated genres out there. I personally love horror games, especially compared to trashy recycled FPS's that are now a dime a dozen. I remember how great gaming was before the FPS was really too popular and I think we were all better for it!
