We all know how that turned out. I hope they both sell well over the holidays but realistically speaking, Sony has the upper hand in terms of hardware. More to the PS3 package and right now people save money when looking for both a high def movie player and video game console when they buy the PS3. You get two machines in one.
Too bad they more than likely won't bother to learn from the superior PS3 slim.

People were waiting for the price of the PS3 to drop, not for the 360. People want the PS3. If they wanted the 360 so bad then it would have outsold the PS3 by more than only a hundred thousand units this past quarter at 200 hundred dollars less.
There's no "relaunch", it's never left. RROD id only getting worse due to the number of consoles failing is getting greater and needs more light shed on the matter.
54% failure rate says it all and nothing MS says will change the minds of the consumers. Their product is trash, plain and simple.
This drop in price and new SKU simply will sell more and only expands Sony's plan of world dominance.

It's smaller, cheaper and now comes with better hardware and more efficient power consumption. Complain at your own risk.
They are far superior to them. The only folks that deny that are those who forget MS released their console a year in advance when there was no next gen competition and made a few extra console sales at the lowest price point between the two consoles.
Wait and see MS fanboys. Sony will be ahead come this time next year and MS will be struggling to make a decent name for themselves then and into next gen when they try and recover from their RROD debacle.
