Oh....make no mistake next gen will be implementing something to help their interests vs used games.
This trial idea is sorta plausible.
But renting, burrowing friends games....this can't be seen as bad. And used games do help sell new games for sure.

It's not as good as earlier NG this gen...,but it's not a 3/10. Best I can accept is 5/10
I reserve 3/10 for serious issues with the engine. Franerates or connectivity.
The game plays well for what it is.
I actually see this hurting over seas sales. Not many are interested in that time. And I'm certain it'll color the period in pro-American propaganda. Again a fail for most other countries that aren't named US.

Yep. Me too. Max characters, unlocked most of the useful weapons and that's that. Because its co-op dependent I find I'm more aware of the metagane uselessness compared to a competitive shooter.
Bioware should've had dlc maps & enemy types at least announced by now. But, it was fun. Can't say I didn't love it for the short term I was into it.

Getting owned by better equipment meant the player was at least experienced.
For the love of all is holy pleasssssse make stealth actually work! No supernatural enemy knowledge of my location. No hearing my "master assassin" from meters away! Make shadows actually conceal!

Mostly because I'm dying for a good arcade racer!
Car designs look bit too blocky....or it's the player choosing the muscle cars. Looks solid & fun.

I've been playing ng3 last couple nights.
I can't disagree with much of the reviews.
But it's suspicious that every single review makes no mention of mp. Or at best a "mp is crap"...
In fact I'm really enjoying mp & co-op missions!
It's different & exciting. Sure it's not the NG we're used to but it's fun. Mp is actually pretty hardcore...you won't be pulling 7-3 wins without leveling up ...
I played it to completion. His control gamble was a huge fail for many. But, once you got used to it...it was incredibly addictive. Great story, awesome atmosphere. I really liked it.
Mp was fun, like you'd expect any co-op to be. And monster design was good....just not enough variety. You can level that on most RPGs.
I know it's an rpg and I get that - but right from the beginning it's horrible pacing! I watched those reapers landing and figured earth was vapourized in days. But it felt like I was weeks trying to pull those retards to back humanity.
Honestly a far better, believable plot would've had a huge earth armada trying to stop the reapers. That would be acceptable in terms of pacing.
And - I'd have written it where all the other races were too caug...

That's fine if you can rent. I have no rental stores near me. And I just don't like renting via the mail.
That means buy or not. And I have it preordered.
But reviews are needed to see if I should follow through. And 1-3 reviews means not much....4-8 reviews means theirs a trend. You can't ignore so many bad reviews....unless you don't like money. Lol

Claws & Scythe are free day 1 dlc.
It had 5 difficulty settings.
Co-op missions (40 in total I believe, broken into difficulties) & mp which probably is too chaotic. But likely fun to mess with for a bit.
Story is considered waaaay better than previous titles. And contrary to ign 3/10 review....it's very playable and looks decent. Minimal screen tearing. Still 60fps.
Now....
What we should be focusing on is determining is at what point is a publisher/developer held respondsible for a licensed product that does not fulfill its advertised use to its full agreement.
Example: If Capcom used dlc chracters in ads to sell said game. But did not disclose clearly in those ads that said characters were paid dlc.
The problem truly lies with the licensing of games for consumer purchase. You own 0% of any game you buy....you pay for the rights to play them.
How do we get laws to change this? I don't know.
But, if we gamers don't change this....everything following is fully in publishers rights to do.
Yes, you could not buy these games. But you might as well just skip this hobby at that point. Since its rampant consumer abuse everywhere.
I like ng3. Nobody talks about the mp! It's fun! In a chaotic way. And you learn to play a bit stealthy to up ones game.
Single player is better than the average. It's just not as good as its predecessors. They were masterpieces. Ng3 as a package is fun. Higher difficulties are cheap though. Co-op missions are fun too!
I have 12 psn friends playing and loving re:Orc. I know reviews are likely correct....but the game manges to be fun despite its flaws...
