Sony has never disappointed at launch. Most genres have a good option. I expect at new ridge racer lol
But I have to agree. 3rd party exclusive this gen are likely only going to happen if the console the game is exclusive for is also publishing. Ie - bayonetta 2 on wiiu.
Economy is trash the world over. Plus, there's tons of entertainment options. More in gaming area than ever before!

I'm just looking at the Wii - WiiU history to date.
And the motion control for hardcore gamers was a nightmare. Both in meaningful content of games to play and the effect a casual console had on the entire scene.

Ninny Tablet controller is essentially TomTim tech circa 2006...with added modern app ideas and better resolution...but not by much!

But I called this months ago. Ninny been riding on handhelds and nostalgia for far too long! And now 3rd party devs are becoming more vocal than ever about their issues with Ninny.
What's truly shocking is how Ninny thought they could pull the wool over gamers (core) eyes again with a faux-tablet controller!
I really dig the mp in crysis 3.

I'm certain its PS4. However, its also a calculated risk...as it WILL affect sales of current ps3 consoles and games.
And that's Sonys fault. They've aligned themselves with high price points on new console releases.
If they are watching the economy and truly want to eat some of MS mind share in North America, they'll hit that $299.99 rumored price.
But people expect $399 - $499......and that means majority of buyers will need...
I think Ninny did get it wrong. The console is what should've come out when Xbox 360 launched...but Wii made tons of cash. But the casuals never buy 2-3 games a month like core gamers. So is it any surprise that 3rd party devs and publishers are already jumping ship?
WiiU tablet controller is weak ...it's not a tablet. But Ninny clearly was trying to convince us it was. That's a bit shady. And tells me Ninny tries gimmicks over "next" gen hardware.
I'm loving the new DMC! I played all previous DMCs and even that devil summoner rpg cross-over game.
I wonder how many dmc fans finished dmc 2? Not many. It wasn't great.....he was older and tamer. Even angry. But the last cut-scene....redeemed the story arc greatly for me. It gives you that flash of cocky arrogant Dante

But...lets take a look into a obvious future.
Once the 720 & PS4 are here.....by virtue of specs the WiiU should be incapable of producing the graphics and physics of these newer consoles. Especially when the design of all three of these consoles are seperated by their end design. Ps4/720 will be meant as powerhouses....though I wouldn't expect this gens level of wow factor in jump.

In my 360 days I gamed with many who reported RROD ....after the 3yr warranty or they bought used consoles that RROD.
I also have local friends who bought 360 after the 3yr warranty issues....they too went RROD.
3....4....even 5 consoles later. So you better believe Xbox sales are influenced in part by rebuys.
No 1 reason was gamerscore related nonsense or Xbox live titles.

Well, I'm impressed. I've beaten all the uncharted ps3 games and sunk many many hours into mp. (unch3 mp was off...)
Reality is that it's a tps with realistic models.... Unlike Gears models. And everything else is an evolution of the mechanics of a tps set in this type of action.
Both uncharted and tomb raider copy Indiana Jones.

Well, I'm a console gamer. But things may be changing that.
Sony just put in for a patent that attaches ones account to a specific unique game. Trade market instantly gone. And you better believe MS will join Sony.
It remains to be seen if it'll actually come to pass but, but.... They'll lose soooooo many sales.

I think many younger gamers and well off gamers, older perhaps established/retired gamers forget that our world economy is still tanking hard. And the days of $600+ consoles is over. But even so...I don't think many are excited about $400 either.
And lets face it...it's not $400....it's likely $400+extra controller, 1-3 games....Xbox has live...
Just saying we all need to curb our antisipation on of sales a bit.
