I like how some people will say "can't afford new games then you shouldn't own a console"

After 2008 wconomy tanked. Many people struggle...and they still want to escape. Even more than richly rich with his 3 different consoles and 80" flat screen.

My point? I trade every game I'm finished with...often quickly for max return. It's always towards new games or seldom new hardware.
And I work and make good money. But I...

Coat needed in mountains! Agreed
Mountains falling apart as she arrived I attributed to the spoiler warning

The goddess spirit sensing she had found a true successor. She was magically salivating basically. Lol

Well they could release a revamped wiiu+ with no pad controller. Just the pro controller. Issue an apology to core gamers and third party devs.

Make the specs equal to ps4 and release new Mario kart and mmo smash bros.

(I know you all wish I was kidding...sadly no. Lol)

You do have to wonder if Ninny even has analysts.

Common sense dictates that you
a) you have many AAA titles at launch that are 1st party ....typically they are the games that show off the new console best.
B) know your enemy. If your going to preempt them you better be ready! Again ...that means games throughs the head start window.
C) marketing
D) don't assume a gimmick is going to wow people into buying. Especially since the first time w...

It's tough. If a dev pours everything into a game and we love it....we want more! But indeed don't wanna pay.

But how do we as gamers know if the dev held back content that was finished and really should've been left on disc?

Or what about this - what if a game was designed with dlc already part of the process? I assure you that this option is now the standard. And I'm not really happy about it ...but it is acceptable.

I just ...

Bioshock infinite.

A perfect example of who knows?
They said they had the sp game done for a year before this Tuesday. They were working on mp and they themselves (Ken Levine) said they couldn't get it to work.

How does a big budget game with tons of talent not get a good mp portion to work?

Am I glad they scrapped it? Yes. Concentrate on what you do best. But I do wish that a mp bioshock that is much better than bio2 mp could&#...

It isn't the rumor....it's the info with sources that are confirmed in the know, coupled with MS history of what it does and doesn't do.

It doesn't care about games. It does push ads and kinect.

So, what are we to think? That the company who charges for online play, did charge for a wifi adapter at waaaay over market price at that time...is suddenly not going to take every advantage of bits users? If this drm online crap is applied to every ...

The real issue is "always connected"....apply this to always installs to HDD. You get consumer screwed over.

You'll install game and the connected part means it'll log a unique ident to MS servers. Rendering the disc a coaster. I suspect it'll allow a unlock for a cost of used. Thanks to GameStop that means $45+
It's proven we'll pay that....but now it'll only apply to direct sales. Unless they figure out a way to split it with GameS...

Irony is had they skipped the whole US angle and stayed with Hawthorn it would've been far more interesting.

I get the feeling that Ubisoft thinks that Asscreed games are all about the climbing and parkour. If they could just dial that down while adding real stealth and exploration/adventure you'd have a winner!

I like the climbing and parkour, just don't hinged all your gameplay on it. Guess how much tree climbing I did in Asscreed 3? LOl

Ask your fanboy self this...
If Ninny knows what it's doing....why didn't they plan 1st party support to compensate for 3rd party failures? Did they honestly believe that they had nailed down 3rd party support?

You can spin it until your head aches....Nintendo are not keeping up! Not with hardware, not with games, not with online infrastructure.

It's just sad. Because they have more money than god!

They have no excuse. Ar...

PC's cost more
PC's get viruses.
PC's have bloat
PC's have far less game releases.
PC's have games that aren't all equal in terms of spec requirements
PC's have most of the worst DRM

You think you want innovation. You think you want your fave console makers to take risks.

You don't.

A fake tablet controller is not innovation it's a bullet point in a meeting about current trends. A trend that is going to stay yes. But, innovating? No.

Show of hands for gaming over 3hrs in one sitting. Ok....so why did ninny say they are bringing hardcore gamers back to a controller that will need charging every 3hrs? Why is it o...

Do we really need to discuss apples & oranges?
Economical climate was different back during ps3 launch. The consoles were fighting the HD surge with people not certain they needed to go HD.
Games were also just getting interesting....and both consoles were quick to get games into our hands. Then theres the 3rd party love that ninny haven't had in 7yrs!!!!

They thought they could ride the motion control success into tablet trend. They failed to underst...

I'm not going to rehash what's being said everywhere online about sales.

Reality though is that Ninny are lost. They've ignored trends and dance to their own drum. If the measure of success is making coin. Yeah! They win!

But sustainability - relevance to gamers (vs casuals) is something they've squandered. Online gaming, third party devs, iPhones & iPads ...

Their not going anywhere. But that statements going to cut both...

Yeah. At this point ...give me a proper prince of Persia reboot. I like the last one look. Just revamp the game play to require skill again.

As for asscreed. It's tired and they played it out too long. We know the whys and the who's. How it ends is not interesting to me anymore.

But.....pirates are cool!

I don't agree if you love the gameplay.
But info see that as gamers, we think we want something different.

What if the next Halo is a racing game? Is that the change your looking for? Or are we talking radically never seen before gameplay. Halo meets etch a sketch? Is that what you want?

No

So I think we need to realize why we live a ip and be happy with more of the same. Up until we reach that point where it's done.

Whenever I see a review that gives a minus due to innovation....on a sequel/prequel I get annoyed.

You can modify the formula. Or innovate by branching into other genres. Ie-Mario....Mario kart.
But you can't or shouldn't give a negative for a successful ip being more if the same. That's why every year I buy COD. It's a 8yr old engine. But it's solid fun with friends. No one on consoles does mp as fluid as COD. (Srry for the tangent lol)

I just watched this review of sp on TV.
I was initially shocked....as I own the game, I play a ton of console games....and no sir. This game is no 5/10. (Sp)

The crux of Scott's argument is that it's nothing new, and this type of hack n slash is dated.

Hmm...so if innovation is such a big deal, how does COD keep scoring with these guys so high?

Why would a dev radically change a games style/game mechanics if the previous 5 g...

Yeah.....I war with myself about the puzzles.
I really enjoyed the tombs. The puzzles are all easy. But there still incredibly fun.

Previous tomb raiders had some puzzles that were not just difficult to the point of frustration....they also made little sense. I mean....are ancient engineers really this good? An I to believe that rope puzzles from Mayan temples wouldn't just fall apart?

I think I prefer fun and a sense of realism over difficulty....

I almost didn't trade it yesterday - I wanted to play as blade wolf. Lol

But it needed the trade 2 for bioshock.
So I said my farewells to dmc and mgr....then Zandetsu them to GameStop!
