Pedobear approves! :P
You say deformation, I say evolution! I like the new edge mechanics. It adds a whole new layer of complexity, while at the same time, gives something accessible and familiar for new players! I agree its a me too bandwagon, but it works, and the game is better for it!
As for sexuality.... its been the same since... since... ever! :P
And Ezio, its the first time a guest character actually makes sense!!! How can you not like him! And since he is so popular, it h...
Fair enough. Sorry If I sounded a bit harsh. But I strongly believe that it' for all our benefit if reviews are done as good as possible! :)
I know that it's not always possible to have a reviewer around that is knowledgeable enough to really go into the mechanics of a complex game, but at least the review should be made in a way that it accounts for that somehow! To acknowledge the fact that there is a deeper side to it that you can sink your teeth in! Or the review ...
I'll not go much into the score. The game deserves better score for sure. Despite its lackster offline modes, the online modes and netcode is probably the best I've seen. This adds tremendous replay value! MK fails in comparison as its online was, and is, plagued with issues.
This is what a fighting game is all about! Deep, complex, yet approachable fighting system. A system that even after 2 years you still discover stuff! And ofcourse it's about the multiplayer...
From that list my favorites are:
Tales of Vesperia
Dark Souls
Xenoblade
Lost Odyssey
Resonance of Fate
FFXIII
In that order :)
Its not a rumor! They themselves have confirmed that are working to put diablo III on consoles! But, of course, they said that this does not mean there will be a release, just that they are working on it. They want it to not feel like a port, but rather as if it was developed for consoles.
Well, there are opinions and then there are facts! Saying the game has simple controls is false. If we count the individual buttons it has, then it has like what, 2 less buttons than street fighter? And pretty the same buttons as tekken if I'm not mistaken? After that you got your button combinations for special moves, grabs, BEs, CEs and the like.
And simple mechanics? You got you standard hits, counter hits, stuns, ukemis, wall hits, juggles, grabs/grab breaks, just gua...
Gotta admit, this one made me laugh :)
There are only 2 explanations here.... Either he just sucks, or he busted his Wii / Wii-mote over the years :P
Then again, both explanations might be true at the same time :P
Great battle tactics! repeat, repeat and more repeat :( One of my complains with XIII... not that many skills :/
That sure was intense! Can't wait! 1 more day!
ps: I see havoc is doing its thing again at the end :P Oh well... :)
Miyamoto for president!!!!! :D
@Loadedklip Hahaha!! So true! That's why I used a "probably" there ;P
@info I think Oricon was talking about the fact that this specific game took 6 years or something to make. Where as the games he mentioned only had like 1-2 years development time. So Its natural if a company devotes so much time to make something, its probably gonna be great :P
Hehe! It's really hard to call it this year. Way too many good games! But for a wii game to be up there... that sure is saying something! :)
He even said he is a jrpg fan!!! And then he was disappointed that the story "pulled a manga" on him and the heroes got courage from their friendship and stuff. What did he expect from a jrpg? The culture is like that... most of the anime/manga are like that... does he even know what the J stands for? Even played the game with English voices... And how did he want the heroes to win? Using nuclear weapons and the power of rage and hate? Pfffffff jrpg fan my arse!
@Hicken: Well said mate! The game definitely deserved a 4/5 at least!
@Dasflikko: Western JRPG reviews are always kinda weird. Most ppl/reviewers just don't get it! You have to be a fan of the culture (anime?) a bit in order to fully appreciate everything.
I've been playing games for 25 years now, and JRPGs have a special place in my heart! I was a bit disappointed this gen because of some lackster titles but this specific one was a true gem! I was p...
I think his boss will be something Ganondorf related :P
LMAO!!! Genius!!
If you haven't already, check out the "Tales of" JRPG series for fast paced, real time combat (that takes a lot of strategy and skill, especially on higher difficulty settings) and a big story! Like Tales of Vesperia on Xbox360, and Tales of Graces F, that comes out next month for the PS3! For me this is the best JRPG series :)
