Keep in mind that all cutscenes in Last of Us are probably done in the same way as in the uncharted games. All cutscenes are pre-rendered (not really real time), and they use different models with higher detail, and the whole thing is in higher resolution as well. Its pretty obvious too :/
If the above video is indeed in real time, and with UE3, then it is kind of impressive imo

I always make a gazillion saves when playing RPGs. I also have the habit of keeping saves before cool boss fights! I always run out of save slots though haha! And if I need to roll to a previous save, I need to spend like 30 mins to find the right one :P

I disagree too! :P The dated quest system does NOT "work" ! When was the last time you actually read the quest, and not just the objectives (kill 10 X)?
So, no, it does not work! Not saying GW2's system is perfect, but at least you don't have to scroll through some text you never read and press an accept button :P (not to mention there is no kill stealing etc).
Now the voiced / cutscene parts I actually saw/listened, and that way you at lea...

As if the current "HD" gen does 1080p? Almost all the games are at 720p, some even lower..... Because consoles just can't run them with decent frame rates at 1080
If they rush 4k resolutions, games will once again go sub-4k, into 1080 in order to actually run at decent frame rates, just like in the current gen! I'd rather have a true 1080p console!
To be honest, since it came to this, I would prefer if versus is moved into next gen instead! (which might already be true but we just don't know it yet :P)
Most of the games have different stories. Like final fantasy games. Obviously xillia 1 and xillia 2 are connected as you can see from their titles. Also destiny and destiny 2. Every other game is a standalone game though.
There are a few cameos here and there, that reference other games and also some similar themes like the summon spirits you saw in symphonia appearing in vesperia and xillia.
If you liked symphonia definitely check Vesperia and Graces!!!
If you also have an xbox, I would suggest picking up tales of vesperia! For me this is the best tales game yet!
Even if I like graces combat system a bit more, vesperia's characters, story and setting are a lot better! Also, the main character is not your typical anime hero. He is darker and more mature. I think you will like it :)

You should try Tales of Vesperia and Xenoblade Chronicles. For me these were the best JRPGs this gen. There are other good ones as well, like Lost Odyssey, Tales of Graces F, Persona 4 Golden. You should try them! They all gave me that feeling you are talking about!
And lets not forget Ni No Kuni ofc, and the upcoming Tales of Xillia :)
