I remember that guy. He was completely blind. He used sound queues to find his way in the game
There is loot (armor, weapons, etc) but it's not so focused on that. It's very story driven, with a ton of choices to make, and a gazillion different story paths depending on those choices. One of the few games where the choices are almost always in the grey area (not good vs evil) and the consequences are almost never seen until much later.
The story is epic and mature, and of good length as well. The graphics are also reaaaaaally good, especially witcher 2.

It did outsell mario but only during the first two weeks or so. Due to the initial sales rush of ps4 (since there weren't really many exclusive games anyway). If you look it up now you will see that Mario is ahead by a huge margin. Nintendo titles always have slow pacing in sales, they never were about day 1/week 1 sales. But in the longer run they do fine.
Unless they come up with a good upscaling technology on these TVs. Then it wouldn't matter so much if your content is at 1080p I guess. For now I'll stick with 1080

I know it seems weird that they released their big titles the same day as ps4/xbox one launch, but to be honest, they HAD to put something out there to stay in the game. They needed big titles for the holiday season, and I think they managed that. (Actually, for ME, these two titles are the best games to get this fall).
The sales will probably be overshadowed by ps4/xbone sales, but imagine how bad the holiday season would have been for them if they didn't have these. <...
Yeah I agree with you. Also, after playing both parts I can say that Jude's path feels more canon. Especially during the beginning! I remember when I first got the game I spend a lot of time searching and pondering as to which character to use first. I didn't want to feel left out of important story elements for the first playthrough...
It is a good idea to be sure, but it needs to be implemented more correctly. There need to be bigger and more meaningful separations ...
I would start with Vesperia if you have a 360. That one is my personal favorite. Otherwise Xillia. IMO you should play one of these newer titles for your first tales game :)

If I remember correctly, they said Spring 2014 for Mario Kart. Around April I believe.
EU is in December yes, but US is 2014
