I agree it is indeed one of the most polished games in recent memory. I think this game's own franchise history is effecting its score. Next Generation this revamped Tomb Raider direction will blend the tomb raiding of past games with the epicness of the new one.
People need to buy this and reward the devs and publisher for this epic effort. Half the people on frinds list are playing this and sometimes in parties helping eachother find items
Satisficing gameplay. Kill animations and finishing moves are brutal. Dying is brutal. Laura's skill combos get real interesting and brutal. This is a dark adult game not for the kiddies. Mature artstyle and the level of graphical fidelity and physics makes it hard to watch Laura and the enemies die sometimes.

There were times when I could not belive what I was looking at(graphically) The environmental graphical effects in the action scenes were breath taking and jaw dropping.

Sure devs with the best, most hardware taxing game engines are lazy because the PS3 is inferior. Games that are more open with great graphics is a sign of laziness(Skyrim, Rage, Crysis games, Grand Theft Auto games etc) :P

PS3 is inferior just like all Sony consoles. They know how to program for PS3 LMAO. PS3 exclusives are linear, static, QTE style games with tacked on social design if any at all with less features.
Sony making such simple games that are less resource hungry allows them to put a nice coat of paint on almost all of their games.
