"Nintendo has done a lot to help support the Wii U, from having a solid lineup at launch, keeping the cost of the games and console down and promising a lot more in the future".

Wow, REALLY?!?! REALLY?!?! On only has to read the first sentence to realize how ridiculous and ignorant this article is! The launch was not "solid, and was downright horrible except for New Super Mario Bros. U, which SHOULD have been the game included with the wii u and not the ridi...

Perhaps this is the beginning of the next video-game crash, and this is the game putting it over the edge. The last one was 30 years ago in 1983 and was another game involving an "alien", E.T.. History repeats itself? Who knows! I know I am going to start a fire with this comment, but with the way the industry is going right now, maybe we need to start fresh again. Its HORRIBLE! With the rumors of the next xbox, and Nintendo jumping the gun, and Sony being the ignorant-arrogan...

Pretty slick! Especially the PS3, and I am not even a PS3 owner/fan, but its definitely the best of the 3.

Oh, and I want a remake of all 3 previous games in the series to be released in one package for the Wii U with updated graphics, and wii u multiplayer functionality added for each one. They could call it... wait for it... "New Super Mario Bros. All-stars!" I am serious! That would be awesome!

In my opinion, it IS the best in the series, and turns up the nostalgic factor more than ANY of the previous games in the series. For me it was a cross between Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario World, and really picked up where those two left off.

However, although this one is the best in the series, it still has too much of the other games in it. Does the music REALLY have to be the exact same as the first NSMB? I remember how much I loved the first New Super Mario B...

Thanks for the brutal insults. If this turns out to be proven true by microsoft, then am I still a "moron" as you so viciously called me? Because then I would have been right.

My opinion is that since Microsoft will not deny the rumors, then I am going to assume they are true. Most of the rumors of the PS4 ended up being TRUE. This rumor has been going around for months. What better time for them to come out and deny it than right now?

Anyw...

The fact that they won't comment, only validates the claim! I am so bummed! I truly was hoping this was a rumor, and I will not be buying Xbox. RIP Xbox 2001-2013. The way this guy came out insulting everyone yesterday, is the exact reason why I don't care for Sony and their playstation. I have never owned a playstation, and now I won't be owning the next Xbox, so I guess I am going to find another way to game this next gen.

How do people disagree with this?! If you look up E.T. the game on wikipedia it literally says that it is considered to be one of the worst games ever made! People on this site are so annoying and immature and need to grow up! Seriously. There is like people who troll through this site disagreeing on everything that everyone says. I know it!

I can't believe E.T. was the 8th best selling game! It is pretty much considered by the gaming community to be the worst game ever made! Haha!

By the way, I am learning more and more that some people on this site are just pricks, how do you get a disagree for stating a factual statement? It is true afterall, the word "E.T." is a joke in the gaming community.

Exactly what I was going to say! Who cares, the game sucked, so there is no point to even release it. From what I read it isn't even a mediocre game, it could very well be the worst game ever made. We need better games on the wii u, not bad ones!

They would still be MAKING $15 off the game, so how does it NOT make sense?

Furthermore, how does selling a $60 game used for $55 make sense?

And third, why is everyone defending Gamestop's shady business practices all of the sudden? I get it, business is business, sure. But getting ripped off is still getting ripped off. The point of my original comment is that trading a game in for 50% more credit is STILL a rip off. I think MOST sensible people woul...

Even at 50% extra, that is still 100% less than what they SHOULD give you! HA!

Lets see, no internet connection whatsoever = No virtual console games. They aren't making wii games anymore, and the selection seems to be getting smaller and smaller at retail stores. Then there is the lack of an SD card slot, which I guess doesn't matter if you can't go online with it anyways. It is completely pointless! They should have concentrated on making MORE games for the wii u than developing and releasing this piece of junk! It is almost as if they are trying to f...

If this is true, I will not be purchasing the new Xbox! I have been a faithful Xbox owner since the original one came out. I can't see any good reason for them to do this. Sometimes my internet goes out due to routine maintenance by my provider, or just because they happen to have an outage. Am I supposed to just not play my games? What next, are they going to make Xbox live gold mandatory?!?!?! When I first heard this rumor, I thought it sounds too ridiculous to be true, but now th...

I agree with the lack of games present on the console, however I thought this was interesting. Here is a list of NES games available at launch in October of 1985. There weren't any other games released until June 1986, and the NES went on to have a nearly 10 year strong run before they stopped production of the system(20 years in Japan!). The NES got super popular late 87 or 88 here in the U.S. I am not sure how well the launch went as I was very young, but I know I didn't get one un...

We just bought one last week, and bought New Super Mario Bros U with it, which is the best Super Mario Bros game since Super Mario World Hands Down! That game is a must have for this console.

With that being said, we looked into getting some other games this week, and we looked at ALL the available games, and my son isn't interested in a single one! The closest would be the Sonic racing, but he said he would rather play Mario Kart... I think I might get it when it co...

Its not the first time they have released a console with basically the same name, and it never affected the sales of these two consoles.

1985: Nintendo Entertainment System
1991: Super Nintendo Entertainment System

Mom: Jimmy you want a SNES? But why? You already have a NES!

Jimmy: Its an entirely different console Mom, better graphics, different games, etc...

Mom: I see, thanks for the explanation Jimmy, I will ...

There is no way the game was rushed! They had plenty of time to get it right, and failed to do so! Ridiculous!
