They both could be losing money in fact the first Xbox never made any money for ms and ms took a hit because of the rrod problem with the 360. Since I seriously doubt that any of us really know what these systems coast the companies to make you could guess but that's about all.
And from what I have heard from most Xbox fans they would rather save the 100$ and drop the Kinect.
In the first couple of months the winner will be who ever can put the most consoles on the shelves. But in the long run sony will win again. And if they can out sell Xbox1 in the states then they will win big.
I think that ms is still trailing in pre orders based on what I have seen, but asking retailers is not a good way to judge since they can't really say anything bad about either one because as far as the retailers are concerned they would like every one to come buy both syst...
MS 180 had nothing to do with sony or sony fans. It had everything to do with lackluster preorders and Xbox fans outrage.
However I wonder how many of the features they took away where just not possible so maybe that's why they reversed gears so hard. Since just 1 day before they had said sony won't make us change what we are doing. And we believe in our vision we will just educate people on how this benefits them.

You realize none of those games where running on Xbox1 right. And ps3 games> 360 games same will hold true in the ps4 Xbox1 gen.
Quantic dreams always makes great games with stunning visuals, that are not just your standard games. Not only do they have great graphics but great stories as well and are often very unique. But this was not a game just a tech demo of what they see as possible, so after heavy rain and beyond I for one can not wait to see what they deliver on ps4. Even if that will be a few years from now.
Except in number of people buying the games. Pc has better specs if you can afford to spend the money.
Ever hear of uncharted, of GT, or TLOU, or infamous, or little big planet, KZ. Nintendo makes good games to but to say some one is not a hardcore game because they prefer sony games over Nintendo is ridiculous.

Ms says specs don't matter then try to say their specs are better than first thought. They say it is about games which sony has that advantage to. Look at the history of the systems sony keeps the games coming year after year. This year Xbox 360 gears4; ps3 = God of war4, TLOU, beyond,puppeteer, tales of xillia.
But I want to point out when they said it was about the games they also said our games will be just as good as our competitors.

Ps3 will still be relevant 3 years from now, sony has shown in the past they can support 2 or 3 systems at a time. IMO ms gave up on 360 awhile ago he'll they delayed gears 4 just to have something this year. And the Wii is basically just selling off stock.
I plan on keeping my ps3 TLOU will keep me playing for some time, beyond is gonna be sweet, puppeteer, tails xillia, all just this year. Not to mention 3rd party games gta 5, batman, COD, AC. I know some of those will be next ...

MS has also severely limited people making 3rd party accessories with new policies so currently it's their headset or nothing.
