Don't think so. Kinect is not some great game changer it is in fact hurting ms as much as helping them. The only reason they are making it mandatory is because they spent a lot of money developing it and are afraid if it was optional hardly anybody would buy it.
That's why you see just as many people saying they want it takin out as you see people who think it is going to be great.
if you missed this game you missed one of the best game cube games. if they bring it to the wiiu in any way get it. if they bring a sequel i am all over it.
While I am no fan of Kinect just because I don't go in for the motion gaming gimmicks. The Kinect is actually spying on you, but only to learn how you use your Xbox1, to better market to you to know " hey Bill is in the room, he was playing forza last"
But if the FBI, NSA, CIA( which isn't suppose to operate in side the state's) or any other government agency wants your personal information you have much bigger problems to worry about.

i am sure ps4 wishes they could have been the target of a lot of hate. and have indie devs still be very skeptical of them, and I bet they wish people where asking them to drop their price. and how many people have asked for a removal of kinect. those are not sony fans who dont plan to purchase it anyway, those are xbox fans that want to buy it but dont want to kinect.
I am not going to say anything until more of the information is available, but i do have to question the fact that xbox1 much like ps4 dev kits coast developers thousands of dollars. So wouldn't this be kind of a slap in the face to the devs who already paid them.

but you where already going to buy the xb1 right?
they are cool features for people who where already going to get it, some one who is not into gaming will not buy a console for those other features. also that means you never turn your xb1 off if your using it to do all that it will always be running and i doubt that is good for the system.
and ps3 plays games, blurays,music and you can use hulu+, amazon prime, and netflix.

why is it not the same. if you buy a used car the auto manufacturer should get some of the money based on the used games logic you support.

every one knows that it is not only game stop where you can buy and sell used games. ebay, amazon, best buy, there are a few small local stores that do it in my area, CL and you can sell it to your buddy. now if you sell a game to your friend how much is fair that you send back to the developer.

I think the biggest problem is their marketing or lack there of, I have seen 3 wiiu commercials since it launched. And I know quite a few people who think it is just a really expensive tablet controller for the Wii. And the price is the next problem since many people are unaware of the features it has and the perception is that 32gb HD and 2 gb of ram are just not enough when looking at consoles with 500gb HDs and 8 gb of ram.
