Depends on what your definition of little is because Phil Spencer has stated that they expect the Xbox S to outsell the Xbox X. If that is their forecast, then Microsoft still sees profit in that.
Last time i checked, they intend to sell them.

The difference between the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 is much much bigger than 360 to Xbox One
Since on this site, teraflops is the new benchmark, the 360 had 0.24 teraflops. The Xbox One is 1.23 so that is almost 10 times more.
If you look at RAM, the Xbox One has 16 times more Ram than 360 (512mb vs 8GB).
The average from one generation to the next generation right before the arrival of PS1 has been at least a 10 times leap in power.

Did you completely leave out the part where they say that the Scorpio's GPU has a 43% compute advantage over the PS4 Pro?
The Forza engine was ported to Scorpio in just two days with the only change being the addition of 4K assets. Imagine if optimisation was actually done?
This means every current gen game can easily run on Scorpio with 4K assets and still the GPU will be under utilized. This is very impressive because the overhead on the GPU for scorpio is basically what the overhead is like on current gen consoles rendering remasters of last gen games.
I have been saying the same thing for years that this generation is the most boring and least innovative generation in my 30 years of gaming. Let's hope you are right and this jump in power leads to new experiences.
