The chip in Kinect for the 360 was licenced from primasense but for Kinect 2, it was ditched and was completely designed and developed inhouse. The patents that both Kinect and Kinect 2 share were developed by 3DV systems which Microsoft acquired a few years back.

If this was a full priced game, it would have still been fantastic. But the fact that it is atually free, just pushes it to another level.

All of us that defended the points system knew that not paying VAT and rip offs we get when currency is converted were benefits of the points system. Also, deals on points could be found easily on the web resulting in you buying games far cheaper.

I was at first a bit skeptical when i heard who was developing it but every single preview of the game by people who have actually played it has been extremely positive. It also helps that i am highly impressed with what i have seen so far.

No mandatory Kinect is okay but selling a Kinect-less sku will be a huge mistake in my opinion.
Worst idea Microsoft can make is to make Kinect optional. It should be mandatory so that developers will take advantage of it.

Well said Foxgod. I have been an Xbox gamer this gen because i liked what it offered. The start of a new gen, i evaluate what the console makers have to offer so my allegiance lies with no one. Prior to the DRM U-turn, i was going ahead with the PS4 though i have seen nothing new that the system is bringing over current gen apart from more power. Maybe you have the time to game on all platforms but i do not. I can afford to buy all next gen consoles even if they dropped on the same day without a problem but there is absolutely no way i can play all the games available on them.
