Xbox one owner here and I backed it. Why? Because I love the franchise and it is also coming out on PC.
Thats a great idea.
Let me tell you why in my opinion, BCis a big deal.
First of all, last gen saw the rise of digital games with full AAA releases and smaller XBLA games. When a user invests so much into a digital ecosystem, it is refreshing to know that your purchases will be carried over to the next console.
Secondly- and this is one that people are overlooking - the graphical leap from 360 to X1 or PS4 to PS3 is no way as big a leap as we have had in the past like Xbox to 36...
Wait!!! so BC on the Xbox One actually improves performance the performance? Better texture loading and no frae rate drops.
Seems this christmas, i will be finishing the game for the sixth time.
Give it to a kid that needs it and introduce them to the wonderful experiences we had last gen. That is what i did with mine :)
Yesterday i said i am not a pro gamer so it is not for me. Well... i am not a pro gamer but i am going to buy this beauty lol.
How can next year be sparse when we will have Quantum Break,Recore, Crackdown 3, Scalebound, Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Thieves and Gears 4?
Those are the games we know about and they are all spread across the year with Quantum Break and Recore coming spring next year.
@Septic: That is a great question.Quality is definitely more important.
Immediately Microsoft's E3 conference was over, i purchased a 4TB Western Digital hard drive from Amazon.
Why? Because i will without a doubt be playing elite Dangerous, Tomb Raider, Halo 5, Fable Legends (in the beta and i love it), Rare collection, Gigantic and Forza 6 before the end of the year. Also, as someone that was about to purchase Dragon AGe for £40, it just makes bett...
Exactly
Without a doubt i am on board.
Seems Gamescom is going to be really amazing because we will most likely see the gameplay reveal of Recore along with Scalebound and Crackdown.
I do not think the removal of BC was the reason for increased sales of the PS3. On the PS3, BC was hardware based with the console having two chips which ran the PS2 games – the Emotion Engine CPU, and the Graphics Synthesizer GPU. Sony was looking for a way to reduce costs, and removed both engines from the PS3.
This also brough around a reduction in costs to the end user which drastically increased sales. The sales further increased with the slim.
@Baka-akaB: I completely agree.
I actually liked the interaction between the boy and the creature. The graphics were okay but i completely loved the wind effects on the creatures fur. That looked damn good.
This was my fav. game shown by Sony.
Wont waste my time responding to the likes of Hellsvacancy.
@orangePowerz: Thanks for the mature response. Yes Shenmue III is a great announcement. I played the original on Dreamcast in 2001 and the sequel on the original Xbox so i am a big fan. Immediately i heard the news, i went on kickstarter and pledged my support towards the game. But was really dissapointed to see end of 2017.
What even made it worse for me is that i just can't help shaking this f...
@dboyco310: "one shouldn't complain when new things aren't being announced so often then"
I never have and never will. I like to know about games i will play in the immediate future. At most, 18 months away.
If otheres like to know what games are releaseing in the next decade, then fine by me. But for me, i do not want to know.
@jasperkah: Too be honest, i don't really see remasters hurting the sales of games on a console that has BC.
I think so because, remasters usually bring graphical and performance upgrades. Take for example Mass Effect, it is my favourite franchise last gen and i completed it five times but, the performance of the first game was terrible, struggling to maintain 30fps in almost all scenarios and really had some awful textures and pop ups.
With a remaster, t...
Shenmue III is actually 2 years 5 months away at the earlest because it says fall 2017 as an expected delivery date. So it is possible that it could slip to spring 2018.Did they announce a date for FFVII?
As much as i want to play those game, i hope this is not going to be one of those scenarios (Alan Wake, Last Guardian, Quantum Break, FF Versus 13) that years after originally unveiled, in this case 2018 E3, we will be glued to our sets shouting and screaming at delight at t...
Well said @septic. I also have the same issue because i have not played Batman Arkham city, Dishonoured and Dark Souls II but i own them on my 360. When i got my Xbox One, my nephew had been begin me for my 360 so i gave it to him.
Now with BC, i will have the opportunity to play those games on my X1 because they are games i really want to play.
Most likely, those games will be part of the list and if they are, well i will now be able to play them. Very strai...
I said it from day one that i expect this game to hit spring 2018 at the earliest.
