Xbox 720 blocks used games.
PS4 doesn't.
Xbox 720 has DRM in the form of "always online" and the console doesn't work without Kinect plugged in.
PS4 doesn't have any of that.
It's an easy choice unless you are a fanboy.
It's bad design. You are forced to fight 3 waves of enemies without any health regeneration. Now, if the whole game was designed like this and I wouldn't complain, but this part of the game is impossible to beat unless you are a God of War Ascension master. It shouldn't take anyone 20 tries to beat just 1 part of the game.
I, like many other people am stuck in this part of the game. It is frustrating and they're lucky I didn't sell this game!

I won't buy Battelfield 4 because I hate EA and their business practices and extremely horrible game launches. You would think dedicated servers would give them an advantage but they don't. Sure graphics are nice but gameplay is much more important.
Call of Duty is getting old. Still a fun game(when you're winning) but we need MAJOR gameplay changes. New maps/guns/killstreaks just isn't enough for me anymore.
Well it is an American website and so is Microsoft an American company. Things like review copies, free consoles, gifts, special editions...etc this is a lot easier to get to American journalists when you speak their language.
(Yes, I am implying Microsoft bought their way into this gen and out of the RROD epidemic)

Most of these people saying they want this or that game don't end up buying it. The game flopped on PS3 and Xbox 360 and it will flop even harder as a digital-only release on the eShop on the dying Wii U.

Yes, it is interesting but the logic here is flawed. It's fanboy logic.
1. The less consoles you sell, the less customers you have. Used games blocking will cause a major shift of XBox fans to the PS4.
2. Profitability isn't everything. If you only sell 5 million consoles while the competition sells 20million, guess which console will have the better word of mouth? Guess which which consoles people will brag about to their friends? The most popular on...
Yeah just like Uncharted and God of War. Those are all ended up on XBox too.
So Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 is next-gen exclusive while current-gen gets a lame spin-off? I'm betting something like this happens. Activision did predict that COD sales would be down this year and a lame spin-off would do that.
Either way, no buy for me. 3 COD games in a row is a enough. Not getting my money until I see some REAL innovation beyond new maps and guns and killstreaks.

But PS4 does have custom chips. It's not exactly off the shelf. You can't build a PS4 through Newegg or any other OEM retailer.

Wii = 100 million
PS3 = 77 million
Xbox 360 = 77 million
So over 250 million consoles sold! Now lets look at next-gen consoles are how AMD provides not only the CPUs, but the GPUs in all 3. AMD IS MAKING BANK NEXT-GEN.
