The next XBox 360?
That's like calling the PS4 the "next PS3". It doesn't make sense.

At least these 3 regions needs to have a PS4 this holiday seeing as how these are the big 3. I put them in order of importance based on how big the market is.

Well they're in the Wii U too and we know how weak that is.(Actually the GPU is the only decent thing in the Wii U)

Not gonna happen. Wii U will definitely fail to meet its holiday 2012 sales, PS4/720 will each at least match the Wii u launch sales. Not even a price cut will push millions of Wii U units so quickly. I doubt even a Mario Kart or Smash Bros will do anything massive. They didn't for the Gamecube...
If all else fails, the holiday after will be the one.
PS4 is. How do I know? Look at how much focus they're putting on developers, not only in the design of the console but in the PS4 reveal.

Without that holiday marketing budget, the Xbox 360 really underwhelms.
3DS/Vita game? Why limit the game so much with a 3DS version? SIGH. I can't complain though. At least we're getting SOMETHING
Nope. It's a high-end console.
PS4 = High-end console
720 = Mid Range Console
Wii U = Low-end console
Which explains why the Xbox 360 suffered from RROD. Microsoft made changes very very late and rushed the console to market without proper testing. In fact, I recall people saying MS knew about the faulty design all along, but the year-headstart was a huge part of their strategy.

That's impossible. The entire system was already designed around the limitations of DDR3 memory.
Using GDDR5 memory is a MAJOR change that would require redesigning the entire motherboard. Could they do it? YES, but they won't because it means huge launch delay.
They're attracting more than just indie developers. Big name developers have praised the system as well. Mark Rein from Epic Games seems particularly excited about the specs.
I expect at least 1 huge 3rd party exclusive for the PS4. Maybe Epic Games next big IP.
Microsoft has infinite resources. I'm sure their games sections won't be affected at all.
Some PC Gamers feel the need to butt-in to the console wars. It's because they are lonely and need something to do besides play World of Warcraft.

Would you buy a $1000 PS4 that gets so hot it needs tons of cooling which results in it being extremely loud........
...or would you buy a $400 PS4 that is low-power and high performance, whisper quiet and games look the same as most $1000 PCs?
