Seriously though, just because you have a higher resolution and frame-rate, it doesn't make your PC "next-gen". Most PC games still stuck using DX9 due to them being console ports. Your PC isn't next-gen, your PC isn't part of any gen.

I'm excited. Bring on the next-gen. We want next-gen level of gameplay. That doesn't necessarily have to be vehicles and destruction. All it would really take to refresh Call of Duty is a reinvention of all gameplay mechanics. Create all the animations from scratch, come up with new ideas beyond new maps and killstreaks, and for gods sake reveal the fucking multiplayer. I don't want to wait months to find out how multiplayer changes this time.

I do agree with Rein that this affected PC gaming, but its not the biggest factor. Consoles are by far the biggest obstacle and have held back PC gaming for years. We got these beast PC rigs that aren't being put to good use because people are happy with their HD 3000 graphics or 7-8 year old consoles.
Bring on the next-gen of consoles, it will benefit ALL gamer...
Nah. Without that 1-year headstart, a competitive price point and a variety of 1st party exclusives, PS4 will easily outsell the next Xbox.
Basically Sony fixed all the problems PS3 had so naturally sales will improve.
Microsoft gave it all they had with the 360 and it still ended up in 3rd. If Wii U flops, they could end up in 2nd next-gen. But I think PS4 being 1st is a given considering how it has the lead in most European markets and Japan of course.
