This is obviously aimed at NEW OWNERS. No one expects people to buy multiple of their consoles. Anyway, if a new PS3 model comes out, its likely to just be changed under the hood. Don't expect any new design. The new PS3 models will likely be designed to bring in more profits for Sony and make room for a price cut this holiday or the next.
He's off making some mobile games or something. Of course he's bashing consoles. He's trying to push his agenda. Having mobile/tablet gaming take over is what he wants.
PS3 came out a year later so....yeah. It's not a valid comparison. These consoles will both be available this holiday and one is priced lower than the other. Like it or not, the PS4 will likely take back a lot of marketshare.

You're right they won't. Kinect is actually part of the operating system of the console. That's why it cannot be disconnected.

Xbox Cloud = Dedicated Servers
Dedicated servers have been around forever on PC. Xbox Cloud doesn't make it any better on Xbox One. PS3 games can have dedicated servers. So can PS4 games.

I think it was a combination of the negativity, Sony's PS4 and retailers like Gamestop who were saying the new Xbox sucks.

I agree. Microsoft is still far from earning our trust. Here's some more stuff they can do.
1. Make Kinect optional. This would mean providing a "barebones" Xbox One SKU for $399. Gamers would love this and it lowers the entry price. More sales for Microsfot, more gamers on Xbox. Win/Win

What this article should be titles is "Microsoft has a lot of work to do".

If you release a premium model people will only focus on that price.......game bundles are fine though.
