3DS is only selling well in Japan. In the US...not really. Last January it got outsold by the PS3. The PS3!

PS4 has a pretty big advantage in terms of bandwidth and graphics. Both are very important factors for you know.....games. I know which console I'm getting.
Sony is definitely turning things around though. I see a lot more confidence in the company today then I saw 6 months ago. I'm seeing a lot less doom articles, I'm seeing excitement on Sony products such as the Xperia Z and I see Sony is being smart not pushing 4K TVs yet as they are not ready for mass-market. Sony is adapting to the changing market, its only a matter of time before they competitive again.
No. The whole point of consoles is for developers to get the most out of the hardware in that box.

You can have a focus on innovations/features while still having a powerful console. This is Sony, they're not stupid like Nintendo. We already have the specs and PS4 > Xbox 720.
