Nintendo sucks at making 3D games and the sales of 2D Mario compared to 3D only further prove add to this theory. This is why they keep Pokemon 2D. 2D doesn't translate well into console games and if they made a 2D Pokemon game on a console, people would have no need to own a DS.
Why don't these developers make iPad/Vita multiplatform games? I heard Vita development was pretty easy so I can't see why adding a platform would do anyone any harm.
