How does Nintendo's latest release for the Switch fair?

It's "fare," not "fair."

I'm wondering if first parties will make use of it, because it looks like third parties are all that got shown off at E3.

ArcSys has been the better fighting game dev ever since Xrd hit the scene, and them getting DBZ is the right move by Bandai. This is the best possible fusion(ha).

The only clear messages I got from MS' conference is that the Xbox One X is a dumb name, the price point echoes Sony's 2006 mistakes and that they have little to no first-party support to take full advantage of a console that they themselves produced. They rely on third party multiplatform titles to carry the load for them onstage, then act as if people won't simply get that game on a system they already own while saving themselves half a grand in the process.

Color me hype.

That's what you can expect from a channel that touts itself as "Fusion of Gaming and Enlightenment."

What's "hilariously stupid" about it? I'm all for constructive criticism, but it seems you can't be bothered to explain any logical basis behind your claim, so it comes across as a little lacking.

There's almost a thousand words in that review, and you can only muster nineteen in response. How can comments even be taken seriously these days, with hilariously lazy ones like this flooding every game site?

Dig deep and come up with ...

Absolutely. We don't live in a world where streaming games — especially frame-intensive action games — is a viable solution to backwards compatibility. Our largely copper-and-satellite-based informational communication infrastructure isn't built to handle that sort of realtime connection demand.

This is 100% true. Everything we take for granted now, the DC did it first.

Feel free to post your annual reports, because NPD numbers are pretty hard to come by. I'd love to see you quote your sources, because according to this, Halo 5 ranked #51 for the year.

By all means, impress me.

It makes a lot of sense, actually. The Dreamcast is a sad failure, a failure that by all rights shouldn't have happened. The Scorpio will likely have a similar fate if it's more expensive than the Xbox One, especially considering how weak its overall software lineup is.

3170d ago 4 agree4 disagreeView comment

They have quite a lot, they just don't put it to good use.

3170d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Not really. You see, I want the Scorpio to succeed. I don't want it to fail.

I just know that software selection precipitates hardware sales, and Xbox One doesn't carry anything resembling a strong library when compared to its main competitor, and this is a problem not only in the present, but in the equally-or-more-expensive-init ial-investment future the Scorpio is looking to usher forth.

Try reading the article first.

"The magic edge that the Xbox had was being a console with a lot of great, quirky games for it from a ton of publishers around the globe, especially when it came to system exclusives. The original Xbox had some truly great games that no other console’s lineup could boast: Sega’s Jet Set Radio Future, From Software’s Otogi, Capcom’s Steel Battalion, Team Ninja’s Ninja Gaiden and Microsoft’s own Phantom Dust, just to name a few. When it cam...

I agree. It's my all-time favorite, in terms of software library.

Sounds like you didn't read the article at all. Nice avatar, though.

3170d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

Nobody said it would be a failure. It's more of a cautionary tale than anything else, stating that Microsoft needs to show something besides the stable of system-exclusive franchises they've spent far too long leaning upon. Furthermore, they need to stop canceling things they don't see immediate motion on (i.e. the Phantom Dust reboot and Scalebound), and focus more on getting projects out of the weeds to show that their systems have something to offer that other systems don't...

Why not? I bought Full Boost for $60, liked it so much that I had to unlock the rest of the optional roster. It took my just over $90 to do that, and while every suit wasn't necessary to enjoy the game, it had more variety as a result.

I never told anyone to go do that. I just said that this was what I did. I think you misread me.
