"I bet he finds himself 'unemployed' before the holidays..."
Maybe that's what he is trying to accomplish. He must have a very nice severance package in his contract. If I were a shareholder, I would be pretty pissed off with his behaviour by now.
You could disable it in 3.0. I hope they have an option to disable the ticker now.
Awesome music.
You guys should read what The Great Melon said. It's easy to max out a system if that's your main intention or if you don't know what you're doing. Try grabbing Windows Explorer window in XP and move it back and forth and watch your CPU go 100%. Maxed out. Bad coding. Denial of Service attack. Maxed out. Intentional use of network bandwidth and/or CPU to the max. Now, if someone that obviously knows how to program (Naughty Dog) maxes out a system, that's a sign of optimal usage of resources. ...
There was one in Turkey last year.
kapedkrusader is right. It doesn't really take a genius to see through that nonsense about 17%.
@vega75,
I assume you're done with education - 1975? But, don't despair, you can always apply for job at hookedgamers.com. They seem to hire people with your logic.
infrared - it's sooo... 20th century...
No, man. It's: Kawaiiiii...!
:)
"excess" - a word in hater's vocabulary describing plethora of features.
Thanks guys for confirming that no further reading was necessary.
That's like watching those first Mickey Mouse cartoons or early Simpsons episodes.
I only knew one Nigerian. I was stuck in Cairo with no money and that guy paid for my hostel for few days. No hanky panky there :) I'm white BTW.
Thanks, Steve!
Sony is the bad boy of gaming.
This invisible ninja technique is much more effective with clean feet.
Agreed about being the greatest version, but will get the slim for the bedroom. I like low adrenaline activities like browsing the Internet, visiting Home or playing Flower before getting out of bed.
You would at least need to physically modify PS3 internals before doing that. I would imagine that disabling an SPE is probably done in the CELL itself.
@Finalfantasykid
Very nice article.
That way Sony can use a processor that has a defect in one of the SPEs thus keeping the cost down. CELL processors used in IBM's supercomputers have all SPEs enabled, but they cost more.
but you don't contradict each other. It's been done before, but it might become a business practice (or standard) if Capcom and others start updating graphics and adding trophies.

"Please learn the basic principles of reality"
Reality has been maxed out: 105%. Behold the power of the Cell.
