Dude- your reference is wrong. Try again. Hint: the other space movie.
If that's the case, Wii pulverized and annihilated 360.
What illustration will they use next to the definition? I vote for HipHopGamer.
Just kidding!
BTW, the OED lists such words as "bootylicious" as official terms so "noob" isn't a stretch. The scary thing is things like "pwned" can't be that far behind.
Now we can look forward to guys running full steam backwards and still be able to laser beam a 95 yard pass downfield. So realistic!
Let me illustrate how flawed your logic is:
Not all people who shoot people are in the Navy, Army, or the military in general. In fact, some people shoot other people and their careers have nothing to do with firearms. What can you blame then? Hmmm... Maybe you can find out if, say, these people played a lot of video games with shooting in them. Especially FPS games... Some of these games are even used by the military for combat tactics. Hey, it's almost as if they are tra...
You guys saying "blame the Navy" are equally stupid as those saying to blame the game. If he worked in a flower shop, would you say blame the roses? How about blaming the person himself?
The predisposition for our society to put the blame on something external is so tired. People should be accountable for themselves and their actions.
What a tool.
No need, you've proven yourself wrong.
Using PlayOn as well, I think it's great. Missed an episode of 24 a couple weeks ago due to a DVR error. Cranked up PlayOn and all was well
It's usually good to let the first few bug shake out; I waited a while for IE6 and IE7 to stabilize before downloading. Add the Vista stigma on top of the new version bug issue, and it's understandable for people to be cautious.
I'm currently using Chrome; very nice but occasionally it runs into something (flash, Facebook, canyourunit.com, etc.) and stumbles a bit.
I'd say IE8 will be just fine after a few weeks and people will begin downloading it more after a bit ...
The author should take a look around. Many countries have COMPULSORY military service and we have an all volunteer force in the USA. Even so, we have the best military in the world. Oh by the way, it takes money to recruit so you need to maximize your efforts where you're likely to find recruits. I don't think setting up a stand outside the local nursing home is going to yield much success.
I won't report this since our military fights for freedom of speech (among other freed...
... something about some porn link or something. Anyway, based on what I was able to read in the teaser, it appears whoever wrote this article is ignoring basic economics, i.e., supply, demand, and equilibrium. It is an economic certainty that it will "matter." Add in some more external forces (advertising, new features, etc.) and the effect is magnified. Pretty basic stuff folks, a price drop will "matter" at a minimum, and possibly shift the market in its favor.
How can you call something a "fact" when it did not happen? You make a good supposition, but definitely not a fact. If anything, GTA and the PS2 helped each other. GTA continues to thrive and the PS2 continues to sell well long after GTA. THAT is a fact.
Although I enjoy them very much, I totally SUCK at FPS games and consistently get my head blown off in COD4 and the like. It would be a double punch in the nuts to suck as bad as I do, have a .01 k/d ratio, and then have to PAY on top of that.
And I'm pretty sure you're wrong.
Oh, and if I wanted to, I could turn off my jacuzzi, DJ scratching rig, or indoor bowling alley to offset any additional power usage by my console.
If power consumption is where we're going with the fanboy wars, then manufacturing processes and level of "green-ness" can't be that far behind.
Kirk Gibson was not the MVP of the '88 World Series, it was Orel Hershiser. And the Dodgers did not sweep, they lost one game.
Extend your argument out a bit. Pretty sure they would recover their development costs many times over in sales. You have to spend money to make money.
Here's the thing- money talks. And right now, the money is with the 360. They have made the decision to polish their standing with 360 owners, or more accurately, fanboys, by bashing the PS3. While it may be a good move to strengthen customer loyalty, they are taking a huge gamble if they shut out the PS3. We all know how bad the economy is these days, businesses are folding by the hour. If companies are to survive, they need customers and ignoring a large and growing section of potentia...
I actually kind of liked them. I'm not a huge fan of MS, but they were almost damned if they did and damned if they didn't. I liked how there was a huge cross section of people saying the "I am a PC" line... directly opposing the Apple ad that it was old and tired Big Blue. I have a PC and I'm pretty happy with it... would not get a Mac as the PC does everything I need and integrates with what I do at work, with my relatives, etc. But I do enjoy the Apple commercials!
Loved the sell job on the $15 membership card... dude melts like a popsicle on the sidewalk in summer.
