The real question is: Who cares if video games are art?

seriously, would you like them more if they were art? personally, I never understood art, so I don't see why I would want my games to be art. I just want them to be fun

when you get to gran pulse the game opens up and lets you explore, but unlike other FFs it won't let you go back to all the previous places you visited, and pulse is still quite limited imo. There are a lot of side mission, it is true, but then I would request a bigger variety of side quests and I want them placed throughout the game not all hunting missions 4 hours before the game ends.

As for XIII's battle system, I found it very fun to learn, but once understood (...

Wow, you guys just reminded me of how awesome KZ1 was, too bad KZ2 didn't keep the secondary fire and the character choice.

also, didn't KZ1 already have brutal melee? at least I remember that with luger I used to throw knives into peoples throat and pulling it out sideways (awesome!)

yeah, LBP2 is absolutely awesome, and is so much better than the first, but it doesn't feel as new and fresh as when I played the first, which could explain why it hasn't been rated better than it.

Am I the only one to be annoyed by the cutscenes? I don't really care about the story, I preferred how the first game did; just throwing you into a level and just putting in two speach bubbles from "NPCs".

the montage is hilarious, but I don't think you can take pachter's statements and say they're GT's. Though it is true that GT doesn't really care much about PCs.
and the statement that PS3 is more powerful than 90% of PC is wrong, but it surely isn't too far off, it's still more powerful than all the netbooks and laptops and quite a few desktop PCs , which is at least half of the PCs.

@meetajhu GT didn't compare MW2 to crysis, it's jus...

tim schafer is getting to much credit for this, Lee Petty is the min behind this game.

What I love about schafer is that his name alone will sell games as crazy and weird as they might seem, which pushes the industry forward.

socom beta is coming for PS+ subscribers http://blog.eu.playstation....

since when wasn't it called socom 4 anymore, though?

no need to get so upset about the score!

2 different people reviewed the games, and if anything the PS3 review is better.
ME did not deserve a 10 in sound nor a 9.5 in graphics, and doesn't deserve a 10 in lasting appeal if you ask me!

just take the PS3 review for what it is, and don't compare it to the 360 review

well implemented level scaling can be cool. what L4D does is a bit like level scaling and people love it.

that was one weird "interview", I mean the guy keeps on praising the game and explaining it's features to it's producer, never asking him any questions.

the article was ok I guess, but he doesn't talk about what retailers get, and only takes the average numbers. saying the average game costs 23 million $ to develop is preposterous, and every game has to sell half a million copies? It doesn't talk either about the benefit split between editors and developers.

people here were hoping for way to much! It's telltale making the game, so you know it's not gonna be an action game, or pretty.

there's no reason to be disappointed, with a bit of knowledge on telltale anybody could have known that the JP game would be an open world action game.

@skv007
can you explain what was so great about the story in mass effect 2? I never really got why people were saying it was good, the writing, the gameplay and the dialog system were awesome, but the story?

SPOILERS (kinda):

It wasn't really much deeper than: there are bad guys, I need a good team, get a good team, beat the bad guys.

/SPOILERS

the universe was very cool though, maybe that's what people are ta...

He developed a few flash games for the site he used to work for, look it up, they were not genius.

Imo, even if he only does Minecraft, it's good enough for me, as long as he keeps putting on new content.(water mobs and maybe paint coming in next patch)

mhhh... I don't get it, why aim for 50? why don't you just have fun with the games you like? If you aimed for 50 in 2010 would you have stopped playing the fallouts and MAG, just for the sake of reaching 50 finished games?

Though, you might end up playing more games this year anyway, as 2011, is looking to be awesome.

RDR could have a top 5 quotes of it's own, it has so many funny moments.

one of my favorite Marston quotes: " I didn't exactly get these scars falling over church's steps" (can't remember the exact quote)

I'm not the biggest fan of gad of war, but the opening to god of war 3 is the best this generation, followed closely by uncharted 2, which is behind only because it's a relatively short sequence compared to the good 30mins the GOW3 opening lasts.

if we go back a bit further, I do like the final fantasy openings, especially the FF8 et FF10 ones.
